Jim Buchelt: Wow! I just watched this movie. As per usual when I comment here it’s always because I’ve enjoyed the film. I didn’t know that this was [moderately] based on a true story. An inspiring factual account for Eric Monte. I enjoyed the very ending. He became a screenwriter, but he acknowledged his youth. It’s nice to empathize with the tragedies, yet enjoy the humor of this feature. I hope Eric Monte is proud of what he’s accomplished. A true scholar, in my book. 😀

joejoe blackman: Exactly how I grew up in the early 70s. Get high days and gang-bangin (Deadly Tomahawks Division) nights. Playing hooky from school and going to Prospect Park, Central Park and Coney Island. Going to house and basement parties. Slow grinding off of songs, to groups like the Delfonics, Persuaders, Temprees, Soul Generation, Moments, Temptations, Black Ivory and Miracles etc.... Girls were much sweeter, back in those days. Some girls did. Some girls didn't. You had to court them. And you had better master kissing girls. Because that was first base at least. Lol!! Cooley High is a #CLASSIC Indeed I got a chance to see it and have the original writer, of the movie, there in 2014. He talked about how he was fighting for royalties from the movie. And how the script was stolen and never gotten the credit. And that the character Preach, was based off of him. I first saw Cooley High on 42nd St in Manhattan. In the summer of 1975. I was 17 then.

TENGU127: OMG, I love the Uncut Car Chase Scene....You can tell they had a ball doing it.😂😂

Hard31337: Glasses is so cringe with women in this. And Cynthia Davis is so beautiful.

Sneaker Nate: What if...what if that fight between Cochise and Damon hadn't happened and the party wasn't canceled they would've still been there and not met Stone & Robert to ride in a stolen car, what if Stone & Robert paid to get in the party and would've been there all night instead of going out stealing a car, what if Cochise and Preach had never got in that stolen car to begin with, what if Cochise hadn't slept with Preach's old girlfriend they wouldn't have ever separated leaving both guys alone, just thinking

Telisa H: I am just seeing this original for the 1st time. I am sorry it is taking me so long to see our history making movies from back in the day. I miss our ppl of entertainment from our past. There will never b another to fill their shoes. I pray our new generations bring their own flavor into our lives and ensure our heritage is preserved and respected. Also, I miss 😥 my black tv shows like 227 and Cosby Show and Different World and all the like that bred positive status and career goals! Stay safe, stay blessed.

Franz Liszt: your under arrest for being ugly 🤣

Mel Black: jimmy carey wore same suit in the Mask!!
