DeeDee John: God I hope I don't sound ridiculous but as someone who's mostly shielded from LGBT stuff (I live in Nigeria) this is the first show I've seen that makes me see them as human? Does that make sense? I understand these characters not because of sexuality but their life situation. I understand family pressure and social anxiety Wilhelm goes through, and resentment for an addicted relation Simon feels. And august is a tool, but there are times I understand him too. It's not just in your face, It's nuance and rich. It's a story about human beings, navigating love, and their lots in life ( privilege and unprivileged)...Who just happen to be gay I guess

Karen Jones: Am I the only one thinking that Marcus could be the backup plan of the Queen to keep Simon & Wilhem apart? Preserving the monarchy is of the highest priority of her agenda even at the expense of her own son & his happiness. Who knows....she may be blackmailing Marcus to do this....I wouldn't put it past her!! I could be totally wrong about this & I hope I am, but you just never know with this show...there are always surprises we don't see coming.....
