This new character is a non-genius, street kid, strongly inspired by the BLM movement and with a completely different background... Tim Drake is my favorite character. I am so pissed off, right now. Aqua Waffles: I think that there's definitely going to need to be a time skip of some sort, especially since they're doing a Red Hood arc. Think about it, Jason crawls out of his grave 6 months after his death, then there's a year before he gets dumped in the Lazarus Pit and then I'm assuming another year or two training with masters and killing the ones he doesn't like. So, we're looking at a time jump of about 2-3 years at the minimum, but if we reference the Under the Red Hood movie, they say there is a time gap of 3-5 years if my memory serves right. This is assuming they time jump at the beginning of the show instead of halfway through. Also, Tim's parents owning a restaurant! Like I know I'm still stuck in Pre-52 and not that updated on current continuities, but what happened to Drake Industries and neglectful archeologist parents. Like the other day, I learned that Tim's parents aren't dead in New-52 and they're all sweet and very nice. But since Tim is supposedly going to be Robin Season 3, are they gonna forget about New-52. Then again they actually, to my knowledge, haven't confirmed Jay Lycurgo playing Robin, so we may not get our Jason beating Tim up scene. They might pull a New-52 and say Tim was just Red Robin, but have a scene where he literally says he used to be Robin. But here's me, the one who loved Jason hating Tim in Pre-52, but really liked the sort of Jason Tim friendship in Red Hood/Arsenal. Wait, if they might be introducing Roy Harper to Season 3, what are the chances of a Jason-Roy bromance?

fanboy editor: I dont think the race swapping is a big deal because unlike CW, Titans does the diversity in more mature and subtle ways, Kori being Black wasn't something they shoved down your face constantly unlike the new Batwoman season, so im not concerned on that side of things. In regards to Tim being in the season, he probably wont become Robin until the very end, like how Dick became Nightwing at the end of season two, before that he'll probably be a civilian that comes into contact with the team once they end up in Gotham, overall im excited especially as we're getting a full on Batfamily live action FINALLY

BUT I think this actor would be a better fit for Duke Thomas, I feel like the show runners are switching things up for Tim so they can just push a racism storyline which has never been Tim Drake’s story at all. His struggle has always come after he became Robin and not before. Fans may argue that this is great representation and the show isn’t exactly like the comics, but that’s why I brought up Duke, he’s black and he’s a part of the bat family, PERIOD. I’ve seen many shows that do this with characters from franchises than many know and love, either they make them lgbt or flip their race just for the sake of the storyline and the characters themselves are lost which is why a lot of fans get upset. Yes, it’s great to spread awareness for these issues, but have those storylines for the characters that actually have them, and don’t make that their only trait. There literally is no reason for Tim to be another race other than pushing current events, sometimes fans want to enjoy a show without it getting political. Y’all can argue multiverse on this, but in every incarnation on this charter multiverse or otherwise, Tim has been what he has been for the past few decades.
