Discovery of new, more infectious variants has posed even more uncertainties and made people grow increasingly worried about their health and safety. Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) practitioners have been working hard to inform the public of how the CCP has been using the same tactics in handling the pandemic as they have in persecuting their faith, a mind-body practice based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They also advise people to quit the CCP and its youth organizations to avoid being held responsible when the time comes for the CCP to be brought to justice for the crimes it has committed affecting innocent people. Many people have heeded the advice and severed ties with the CCP. They’ve also thanked Falun Gong practitioners for their efforts to expose the CCP’s deceit and brutality and advising people to stay safe amidst the pandemic by saying “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Former Human Rights Lawyer: A Lawless Society Under the CCP Former human rights lawyer Huang (a pseudonym) was glad to get a phone call from a Falun Gong practitioner outside of China. He had talked with several Falun Gong practitioners in the past. They were all polite and trustworthy, and Huang had quit the CCP organizations with their help. Speaking of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, a book published in 2004 that details the CCP’s crimes, Huang said that he could not agree with it more since he had experienced a lot of it personally. “As a lawyer, I first wanted to protect my own rights and then help minority groups,” he explained. “When I realized that we are living in a lawless society—because of the CCP—I gave up my career as a lawyer. Living in China is very frustrating.” In 1987, because his father had been wrongly persecuted as a rightist, Huang appealed for his father when he was 23. Instead of addressing the issue, the CCP detained him for 70 days. After earning a degree in administrative management, Huang studied law on his own and obtained a legal license. He was planning to apply his knowledge and abilities to help minority groups with human rights, but the CCP was too ruthless. As described in the Nine Commentaries, the CCP exploits its people financially and eliminates those with differing opinions. “Since this is a not a lawful society, protecting human rights based on laws is meaningless,” he added. “But I think the CCP will be over when more people recognize how bad it is.” Artist: I Love China But Not the CCP After a practitioner talked with an artist in China through a social network and explained that over 370 million people had quit the CCP organizations including the Youth League and Young Pioneers, the artist, who is a painter, said he would be happy to do the same. He further clarified that he loves China, but not the CCP, because instead of serving the people as it claims, the regime has deceived people for decades and is responsible for 1.4 billion people now living in misery. “Everything the Party says is lies—you just cannot trust it,” he added. Older Brother Helps Younger Brother Quit the CCP One man in southern China who spoke with a practitioner was glad to hear about quitting the CCP for a better future. “I fully agree,” he said, “but I really have not joined any CCP organizations.” The practitioner was happy for him and reminded him to keep in mind “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” The man agreed. He then said his younger brother had joined the Young Pioneers and asked if the practitioner could help him quit. “We have to make sure he agrees or it does not work,” explained the practitioner. “No problem,” the man replied, “My brother and I have discussed things like this before, plus he always listens to me. I can guarantee it.” After the practitioner helped the man’s brother renounce his membership in the Young Pioneers, the man agreed to tell his brother about the importance of remembering “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” He repeatedly thanked the practitioner for the help. Christian: “I Quit Ten Years Ago” A Christian who answered the phone said he knew about quitting the CCP. “I quit ten years ago,” he said. “I’ve met practitioners and they are all good people. We are all clear that the CCP is vicious.” The man said his mother was also a Christian, and both were victims of the CCP’s religious persecution. Over the past ten-plus years, they have worked hard to defend their rights, and have been detained many times. “Many people now know the CCP is bad,” he continued. “It will not last long because justice will prevail. That is for sure.” Petitioner: “Falun Gong Is Great!” A man in northeastern China was glad to speak with a practitioner. “Because I defended my human rights, the Party put me in prison for eight years. That’s where I met some Falun Gong practitioners,” he said. “They are nice people and helped me quit the CCP. Thank you so much!” The man said his plant was demolished by the CCP. After he went to appeal and defend his rights, however, they even confiscated his house. That was how he ended up in prison. He said that Falun Gong practitioners were great for standing up against the totalitarian regime. Everyone Has a Right To Know the Truth Because of the CCP’s censorship and Internet firewall, communicating through social media has become a popular way for practitioners outside of China to interact with people inside. One person who quit the CCP said he was able to circumvent the Internet blockade and read the English version of the Epoch Times and watch NTD every day. “I admire them because what they are doing is very important for China and the Chinese people,” he explained. “In the past, I did not think they would last because the CCP is so powerful. Now I can see the power of faith.” He agreed that people should follow their conscience in whatever they do, and that Falun Gong practitioners have sacrificed a lot, not just for themselves but for China as a whole. “I am not a practitioner, but I do think they are truly remarkable,” he added. From this, he was able to see mankind’s good side. “Everyone has a right to know the truth. We should thank Falun Gong practitioners for showing society a worthwhile path,” he said.
