I just started playing D4 and almost didn't, because everything I heard was that the game is heavily pay to win, the drop rates are trash, leveling is super slow.. ive been playing for 3 days, and ive lvl 50'd 2 characters, and have full legendary/uniques... @remek5758: Can someone explain me: Item drops with "greater" affix and masterworking - if I dont have an item that has greater affix and I masterwork I get can greater affix 3x (lvl 4/8/12) - this is like catch up engine to people who have bad luck finding items with greater affixes? Or item with greater affix can be masterworked thus end result might be an item with greater affix x4 SO in general my question is, should I bother to masterwork "normal" items?

@lymanmusic3756: About 3 game hours in. Completed 1st capstone dungeon, level 33. Got lucky with Bloodless Scream and Howl From Below at level 32 from Iron Wolves caches. Capstone was a breeze. Now to do some Fortresses....

@xbon1: you SHOULD temper while leveling. You can get MASSIVE bonuses like +45% damage to a piece of gear.

@oopomopoo: Not tempering at lower levels? Fam, easiest mistake. 2 iron and 1 crystal to temper low itemsfor 200 health at level 5, or 20% increased damage, 80% cold, etc. 5 minute later is a big overstatement that only happens getting into a new tier. Don't forget that even if an item says it's an increase, 60% increased cold for a cold build is going to be best in slot for quite a while before other mods are better. Shoot, rings get up to 10% resource cost increase or reduction, even at 50 the regular stat roll is like 4%. At level 10 you can 5x the max roll for resource generation. Max level feedback is fine, but low levels absolutely need to use tempering

@mackdog3270: Yeah, I'm really enjoying this season so far. Things make a lot more sense since they reworked everything. The grind's still there, but it isn't soul destroying. I'm about 5 hours in, and I hit 57 and am in tier 4. I won't lie, at my level the hell tide is a bit tricky, but I absolutely refuse to run the strongholds 😁 The new gear system is outstanding.

@recksters54: I'm taking it slow this season. Usually I will play 2-3 weeks and switch to another game for the rest of the season. This time I started with redoing the campaign, which I highly recommend, cuz you don't have to redo everything (you still have all your renown, skill points, altars), it's a good refresher, it slows you down a bit, to learn new stuff. And it's quite fun, to be honest, should be a TV show. 😀

So If Rings + Gloves are at 50% Summoning Golem dmg is at 50k and if All are Golem Dmg 190% Golem Dmg is 35k :( or is it only the tool tip?

Love this season. Have any recommendation for Fallen temple or do I also not need to care about affixes or anything as a Golemancer? I have a chest with +2 for Golem.

@willthethrill8661: they watered this game down, rares are now common, getting a legendary is like nothing now. 925 no big deal. short term pleasure, at the expense of the entire game surviving. Everyone will be bored of this season in 2 weeks.

@LesterSuggs: D4S4 is too easy now. There's no challenge.. except figuring out how to upgrade your gear. *UPDATE* Is it my imagination or do gems now offer different effects when put into Armor? Don't mindlessly drop Rubys into your armor.

@user-ps7zt3vm9q: There is one huge mistake in your recomendations. Take seasonal rewards only at the beginning, when you are too weak. Then just reach level 95. All the unique items you will get will be also of 925 level and you get lots of them from seasonal progress. You get them much more oftern than in real time. So it is the best option to get unique items of 925 level as soon as possible.

@AlexandraSpeaks: Season journey caches (NOT THE IRON WOLVES CACHE THE ONES FROM THE SEASON MENU) scale to your level open them immediately upon entering WT4 for a massive boost!!

@Jak0vas: Disagree on Tempering whilst leveling, I only do it once per item, the resource cost is dirt cheap, you can get huge buffs with a bit of luck. Started around level 35+ not every chance I got, but just when sorting gear out.
