Tee Kay: If I was polish, I'd be furious... To let that national treasure be sold to hollywood like that. To be honest, cd projekt red nailed it, and netflix wasn't even close... And to think of it, cd projekt red had no privileges to tamper with a story, so they made their own. And still nailed it. Netflix had everything, all they had to do is bring the actors, put some costumes on them, pick a set, and go... And they still managed to fail. It's like, doing something with passion and commitment VS doing something to exploit the situation and get paid... Shame on you Andrzej, for spitting on those polish folks who gave 15 years of their lives to make a beautiful homage to your works, but lifting up and praising this glittery disney fairy tale. And why? Because you could squeeze more money out of latter.... This series are only worthy because of Henry, Freya and Joey. That's it. End of story...

Ethan Leahy: The crones aren't in the book so I doubt they will be in the TV series especially this early. It is purely from the games which isn't Canon. I took that as just a spooky thing shown on screen for Halloween that won't be that important in series 2. Like some effigy or statue probably on screen for very little time. I really doubt anything from the games will make it into the TV series. Especially not this early as they take place after the book series and they aren't Canon.

Kuro Neko: The books use a lot of European fairytales and folklore as inspiration. Of course it's much darker here. The story about ciris parent's for example is loosely based on an old germam fairytale about an half hedgehog half human creature that saves a king and gets the princess as a reward. It's actually a really good fairytale. It's called Hans my Hedgehog in english I belive.
