@frogeatssnake6811: background music was so ICONIC when they play games, especially 2nd game. :)

@ArcTheKing-y6k: Spoiler Warning for all of Season 2: Another cool detail that I haven’t seen people talking about is that in the second game 001 kept using his wrong hand to throw the spinning top until the last possible moment, then he threw it with his other hand and it spun. Maybe in the next season, it was revealed that he was tasked to lose to kill the MC in that game, but he chose not to for some reason and that’s why he used his correct hand to save his group and eventually also kick the thing for the fifth time to survive. Other than that though, my biggest gripe of the season was that I didn’t really feel any sense of concern for the general main group of characters in the game. I figured by the third game some of them would start to die, but up until the end of season, only about 4 importantish characters died. 3 of them outside of the games, 1 of them in the game. Granted the focus of the season is more about how to stop the games, rather than surviving the games.

@Xode_25: this new season sucks how are the roblox games gonna do game 3 im gonna cry

@sentlne1: it was great, but im actually so pissed that at the last scenes they started rebelling (001 shot a masked guy i thought he was a real one) then he went so cold, and you could tell gi-hun was sus and after all that 001 STILL DIDNT REVEAL HIMSELF!! quick complaints: the scene with the boat driver secretly being a mole just felt like a cheap way to end that part of the story for the big finale, it would have been really cool to see the swat team barge in, final complaint, the second game just was kinda weird, i guess it is supposed to be kids games but it just felt corny, especially watching them celebrate while they acting like they dont know they about to get shot

@JB-jt6oq: I hope they put Gi-Hun to watch the games and put him to bet the lives of those he loves (Sang-woo's daughter, wife, mother with player 67's brother)... It would be bizarre, but brilliant. A parallel to him betting on the horses at the beginning of the first season.

@Waywind420: I thought the opposite. Went in with high expectations, was immediately thrilled with episode 1 and then from there it dropped off sharply. 6/10

@oldwayz1651: Must be being paid to say good, nothing good about show at all

@KVenturi: Thanos is the best character

@steamyrayvaughn1740: This season was just bad with barely anything memorable to add. At every corner the writing is just terrible. The games seemed rushed and just nonsensical compared to season 1. And everyone in the show seems to be mentally slow, to put it nicely. Idk what the writers were doing for 3 years but making competent dialog was not one of them. I literally had to fast forward through some of it because it was just SO basic, boring, and above all else, mind numbingly stupid. Characters just creating issues out of thin air. Just to raise tension because the show lacks anything meaningful or compelling to give the viewer in most scenes. I seriously don't get the hype for this season. It's worse in every way compared to the first one. The first season was actually something intriguing, unlike this. They should have just focused on a new character because the magic of it all is gone with whatever this predictable mess was. Season 1: 7/10. Would highly recommend. Season 2: 3/10 (and that's being generous) Awful. The most "doing something but going nowhere" show you'll watch this year. With possibly the worst dialog you'll hear in a minute.

@Zarlash_Sama: "Squid game season 2 situation is crazy"

@TeenyTinyTiggy: The shitty part was how episode 7 just ends without any resolution or satisfying way. It's not even a cliffhanger, it's just ended. Like what the fuck.

@mr.critic: Good? It's complete and utter shittt

@primepiece1869: Squid game is heading the same direction as the hunger games, like VERY same direction

@danielletopping2763: I am not surprised Season 2 ended the way it did because if not mistaken Season 3 will be the final season. The Recruiter was nuts with that Rock Paper Scissors Russian Roulette. I really liked the players this Season. My favorite this season was definitely the Transgender contestant. She had a Military background and was such a badass in the final episode.

@ACOE: Very weak ending with a dragging-on last episode. The entire season was to set up the finale and what was originally set up was completely wasted.

@TheTriangle444: If s1 was 9/10 then s2 is a 6.5/10. Not good not bad, much is filler and we know it is.

@eda9486: I like the unseriousness of season 2

@sagolgabijang8263: I toatally loved it

@crossmarian773: His "revolution" plan was dogshit though let's be real. I mean, why would anyone agree to go along with that? "Yeah, let's violently revolt against the game master when 50% of the players actively want to CONTINUE the games, and another 25% aren't even fit to fight, the 7 of us can easily take on a whole ass squadron of soldiers for sure" I see what they were going for, but the set up just wasn't there. It felt so forced and out of nowhere. If Gi-hun had managed to convince more people throughout the course of the games, it would've made more sense, but he just completely failed. Not to mention, he didn't make ANY connection between 001 and the detective's brother, even though they have the same name?

@vrtrixx9236: Penguin fans waiting bro to drop the most shit rant

@IamtotallyDie: Min-su fumbled the biggest bag recorded in Squid Games, Se-mi.

@ToguroCrypto: 2nd game, i played them when i was child in Korea. So for me it was a good nostalgia, however, you are right, they didin't make this as intense. If they didn't coat it with some ridiculous musics on the background and could def make it more intense, scary, it would been x100 better. The music destroyed it. Other than that i liked the show overall.

@imcharley: I think the main thing I was kinda disappointed about was that it didn't feel very emotional. Like I kept waiting for a 'marble game' moment so to speak and there wasn't anything that felt too much like that. To be fair though, I do get that it would be hard to pull off cause even I said to myself before I started watching "don't get attached to anyone, this is the show where everyone dies" but... I don't know. I feel like somehow, some way they could've pulled something out. I'm sure it'll come in season 3, but like you said it's disappointing to have to wait for season 3 for it in the first place, I'm kinda tired of the trend of half baked seasons too 🙃

@Extram1nty: On Netflix it says it will be the final season in 2025

@gwthrpain: JIM WOOL

@jackcutter2: it was mid. mid games

@jesusman6666: thanos had that killer bee energy

@aidananimation123: I’m only on ep 2 but why tf did he not offer his prize money from 3 years ago split evenly to the players if he really wanted them to vote to stop it ??? Seems like such a obvious solution 😒😒😒

@SchillerDD: Bro already bingen the whole season or what 😂😂😂 wtf

@Dilectrix: tbh i liked the boat squad side plot for the reason it grows to the desperation of the games because we lose hope that they can save Gi Hun.

@fulloffool5925: Season 2 is actually very good. I was surprised

@alexjustalexyt1144: Honestly the whole season felt to me like it was to prove to the Protagonist about how utterly useless it is to try to stop the games and how him playing hero is just being a nuisance.

@yoshhhiiiii: need update on one piece

@Zero-0N3: The thing I love about season 2 red light green light, is that it’s clear that Gi-hun has thought about that moment every day for three years. Spoiler: He’s thought about how to get everyone’s attention, covering his mouth, showing everyone that the motion sensor can be hidden from, telling them to caterpillar.

@Carolina_Panthers145: Season 1 better

@ZORO77748: Charlie, you need to get a new mic. This one is getting worse for wear. XD

@griffin_5979: Imo it needed to be longer

@r02678: It was a pile of shit shut up.

@anthonymarinou3466: Are guys mad? Season 2 ending is absolutely ridiculous. No closure and nothing to explain what happened.

@Moreinius: All the actors were insane though

@Drugofcho1ce: Without any details, rate the second season below ⬇️.Mine is 7/10

@Moreinius: I think the fact that they split the season in 2, ruined the story narratively cause they need something that makes sense but at the same time end on question mark for season 3. So it's all like bits and pieces here and there. And that's probably why it took so long to get this season.

@BongwaterWG: Front Man actually does have one unexplained survival during mingle where he just "disappeared" to find a person to group up with for twos or threes and then reappeared. They never explicitly stated that he cheated, I just found it odd he just vanished and showed back up like that when nearly every other named character survival was shown happening

@PodCastables: He apparently liked this hot trash season 2.

@JohnnyVicente33: The show so ass😭🙏

@dusttoh8927: Usually for shows if the season one is good and popular the second one will be a cashgrab and suck. For SG season one is not really good but insanely popular and season two (in Charlie's opinion) is better but it probably won't be as popular. PS: I didn't watch a minute of SG i feel its too lame. This plot has been overused.

@rizkiparamarta3423: I'd love to watch a whole season covering the 2 years of the cop and the fisherman trying to find the island where the squid games were held

@magictriangle6878: I like the new games. There's an emphasis on teamwork and relying on others (or the opposite for some characters) that the previous games didn't have, and I think that makes sense as the focus for this season

@patkundesu: 11:00 fishy sh— hahaha i see what you did there

@shinigamiinochi: My only 2 complaints for this season is like you said, a bunch of the characters and plotlines are just kind of milling about since they're probably going to be important for season 3. The other is that this season was just too predictable to me. It follows a lot of the same beats from season 1 and the few gotcha characters who ended up being spies could be spotted a mile away. It was still miles better than I thought it was going to be and the next season was called the 'final' season in the credits. I'm glad to see that despite the franchise being milked by content creators and games, the show itself doesn't seem to be dragging out until everyone gets sick of it and there does seem to be an end goal here.

@kebab7023: I feel like they introduced the main characters plan to take over the games way too late. The entire season he's just like "I'm going to take over the games" and as a viewer you basically have no idea what he's talking about because he never goes any deeper than that. Then literally in the last episode he explains that his plan is just to grab the guards guns and shoot them. It would have been more interesting if they set up an actual plan for the final fight throughout the season. Collecting items, planning out, etc. I feel like the ending was the most anticlimactic part because as Charlie said, most of it was just gunfights that didn't really get anywhere. So even after we witness the main character's plan, it just feels like he didn't even think it out.

@napalmbhoji: Incomplete, good season.

@Kefkiruja: i disagree about the second game, some of those games seemed so stressful especially gonggi, ain’t no way i’ll be able to recall how to do those complex movements under pressure if it was just an obscure game only done as a kid. i was on the edge of my seat the whole time especially when the front man purposefully messed up some of it 😭 i did find it odd how they took their sweet time celebrating one mini game while they still had to keep going

@HeavyMotionProductions: The last ep plot was so unnecessary. Gi-hun preached so much about saving lives but yet decided to sacrifice ppls life’s for a stupid plan that didn’t work. Like what made em think they could take over and kill all the employees? He thought about everything else but didn’t think there might be a chance they were outnumbered and outgunned? And they would’ve probably got the vote and went home if he was a lil more patient

@JohnSydney225: I'm so happy I took the time to just binge the shit out of S2, and holy shit. I love it! It feels a little darker, more cynical, which ties well into Gi-hun's character. The atmosphere carries over nicely from S1, but now we know what to expect (kinda). I found it also made effective use of the characters, like how they bring back people from S1. About the new games: Once I saw that the 2nd game was different, I think they switch the middle 5 games around and swap them every year (or just get new ones but there's only so many kid games). Red Light, Green Light is always the starter since it does the best job at showing what these people just got themselves into. And of course Squid Game is last duh. Also the S2 & S3 release stuff is reminding me of anime seasons and their episode releases lol. It's more like Squid Game Season 2: Part 1 & then Part 2 (like Re:Zero S3, the attack arc & then counterattack arc which are being released separately). As a side note, the character I probably dislike most (other than some of the VIPs and the soldier a-holes who we see do more than just shoot the players) is the damn old "O" bastard. He reminds me of a really shitty time when I knew someone that was an asshole and I can't stand that damn resting bitch face he has. My girl Hyun-Ju better not die, but this is Squid Game :(

@Goyam0_0: Bro I loved Front Man character.. until he killed Gi Hun's friend. Gi hun is gonna have some SERIOUS trusting issues after this.

@EpsiIonEagle: How much did Netflix pay you?

@SurprisinglyDynamicAnimeSideC: I loved the part where John Squid squidgamed all over the enemy squid gamers. Nearly ascended out my trousers hearing "It's squidgame time" for the second time. Hope I'll see Mr. Squid squidgame over Dr.Octopus and his stupid playstation mask in this one like OMG 😩👌

@arandom_stranger7272: 10:58 ahhh i see what you did there 👏👏👏

@Ben-kb1ub: My favorite part was the trans propaganda

@okssins: The ending is confusing? Like is that really it? Or what

@ShockwaveVFX: This new season sucked so much

@jackdavids2723: Both of the shortcomings you mentioned don't hold up, first of all, you said the games are not the main focus of this season, well yeah that's the point, now the story is bigger and it has already transcended the narrative of the first season, now the games are still an important theme and a drive for several episodes but they don't make them the main focus because we already know about the mysterious backstory from the conclusion of the first season, and here I disagree that the second game was not tense, actually the second game gave us three times the feeling of high stakes than any other game, first with the trial group as I call them, second with the group of misfits, and third for our main group. Also we did receive emotional tension from the third game albeit not as much as we received from season one but it was good enough for this season. The other criticism you had regarding the b plot being boring also doesn't hold up, and let me explain why. The first episode of this season is one of the best first episodes of any season 2 I can remember, and one of reasons for that has to do with the frustration followed by the excitement of finding the recruiter. Finding him wouldn't have given us the same payoff if we hadn't suffered through the search process illustrated in a great chunk of the first episode. The same applies to the b plot, they made us feel like finding the island is virtually impossible, that would give us a larger feeling of satisfaction and excitement when they do find it.

@LethalMlTCH: People have been hating on it for no reason. The show is good, and I can’t wait for season 3.

@JasonArts: No after the Trans.

@chaawesome: I just finished it now, and I honestly loved this season so much. I knew it'd be good with how long they put into it... though some of your grievances are valid 😅 especially with the "searching for Gi-hun subplot" being not amazing. Although, I will say that Mingle is my new favorite of all the games... my heart was pumping for that entire episode. So tense and so fun to watch.

@ArtilleryWarfare: I love how we get to see how psycho the recruiter really is

@theOni877: squidgame season 2 just made me angry.

@pokecon886: It was fantastic I was just gutted about how it ended I need more

@Callistemon: The second game was a parallel to the betting horse race with the crowd cherring the other.

@TimDEagle: I thought it was silly the front man being 001 again and Gi-Hun not suspecting him for a single second. Also, the crew helping Gi-Hun search for the island seems like a big waste of time whenever they're on the screen. Too much time spent on people voting, talking to each other, explaining their emotions. Gi-Hun doesn't have the charm he once had. Sure, it's a natural evolution of his character, but it's not compelling for me to watch. First season was an 8/10, season 2 is a 4.5/10.

@Aarpod: You might be the worst movie tv show critic i have ever seen

@jestre3742: Thanos is funny af

@jestre3742: i saw the death of gi hun's best friend death 1 whole season away.

@Cyxap1844: Season 2 was a game changing

@ballinspalding11: I actually LOVED season 2. First couple episodes I was on the edge of my seat.

@stupid_gamer5852: I did not like thanos. BUT he played the “cool” Asian PERFECTLY!! He had some of the best performances in the show.

@ricecooker__400: well the second survival are actually korean traditional games that are played in our childhood so for a foreigner aspect it may seem easy and not important but they are actually pretty difficult

@lixiehearts: hyun ju was my fav character istg

@fionnathehuman6610: 3 years for half of a season🤦🏽‍♀️

@sgodran6903: Front man is actually NOT player 001, he just looks A LOT like him, but is not even the same actor, in some scenes you can tell that is the case bacause they let you see front man looking the games while 001 is playing them, I know, I also was confused if they were the same person or not, but they actually are not, they are just too similar, Ive heard of a theory if he could be front mans son, I hope bot but IDK, and just by not knowing for sure I think that is a good twist

@tulebox: It was 6/7 good, 1/7 bad. In the last episode, they killed off all the characters with interesting backstories, and kept DEI characters alive. This is why people hated season 2. They added a American woke agenda in a South Korean show.

@الملكالصحرا: It was better, but of course, it cannot outmatch the previous season, as that one was simply wild. It had viewers on the edge of their seats. I like to think of it as a bullet: once fired from the gun, it is powerful, but gradually loses momentum. However, its primary aim is still to hit the target. Therefore, I believe the producers of Squid Game should ensure that season 3 hits the mark; they should avoid dragging it out. They should capitalise on the relationship dynamics they've introduced, such as the mother and son, and the pregnant girl and her ex-boyfriend. We need to see more of these stories. Also, number 011, one of the guards, her story should be explored further — but not to the point of overshadowing the main plot. Lastly, they must make sure the ending is unpredictable. We’ve already seen a glimpse of the next game in the mid-credit scene, and we’re just hoping for the best.

@passionforMed4: loved the series but the 7th episode kind of ruined it. It made no sense lol..

@nawa4961: top fucking carried the entire season

@Lit_Papi: Who the f is Gym-wool?

@ernestcheung5467: I keep thinking Gi Han would at least be a bit sus of the number “001” from his experience last time

@xwvr6656: Crap ending, Netflix needs to be cancelled for not properly ending shows

@CJ-nu7dp: Didn’t go in with low expectations at all.. the director is very serious about this show -_- idk why dude was surprised.

@e.l.4860: What was the symbolism behind the red hair anyway?

@Lani.4747-x2o: Half of it is actually CGI if you don't notice

@NashMcMaster: It was incredible

@sleshstamp: Who tf is jim wol

@underratedgod6899: I feel like season 2 is lacking on alot of things

@jny8498: So it was bad..

@2XLboyo: Mr beast can’t wait to host these kinds of games

@assassin5018: Chat full of L takes by haters 💀

@monkegood1131: Squid game season 2 was phenomenal

@cheems-tx4uu: 1 admin versus 1 pro versus 454 noobs

@Kmgw2: It's getting terrible reviews in Korea. 😅
