He bragged so much about being a marine and probably didn’t think it would get to the point of them having to fight their way out of there.

@choo1030: Fun fact : All physically/mentally abled Korean men are required by law to serve in military for roughly 2 years. Which is why all the rebel participants were good with assault rifles in this show. Another fun fact : If you remember, Dae-ho introduces himself as a Marine from class of 1140. Non-Koreans may not know this, but this class has gained notoriety in Korea because of killing incident that took place in Gwanghwa Island. Basically, one Marine decided to take revenge on his fellow soldiers by shooting them becuase they bullied and hazed him. It is strongly suggested that Dae-ho is one of the few survivors of that class.

@BB_Teece: Gi-Hun was in the wrong this episode his whole thing this season was to stop the games and save everyone and when he was finally given the chance he decided he wanted to be a hero instead of ending the game. If he would have did wat Young-il said and attacked the O first they could have won the vote thus ending the game. But no he had to be a hero and sacrifice the very people who he was trying to save. So he sacrificed everyone for nothing cause the games are gonna continue so everyone who dies from this point on is his fault.
