gilbertbraith: The warming of the red serge reminded me of Elizabeth's conversation with Ned- "We both know what it feels like to have just one more day with the person you married." While Nathan was smiling when she almost buttoned him up, Elizabeth seemed to go off into a reverie- she even shook herself as if wondering what she was doing. She mentioned Jack twice. After N left, she closed the door, leaned back and expelled breath. This is quite consistent with N & E scenes throughout the season. Nathan and Elizabeth care for each other and are comfortable with each other. But whenever there is any attempt to cross that friendship line- the easy comfort gets replaced by apprehension, a sense of heaviness and a lack of joy on the part of Elizabeth. Some interpret this as chemistry but this is Elizabeth's story and the writing clearly doesn't show her being happy at any hint of love or romance with Nathan (definitely not in Season 8 atleast) . I believe we will see her resolve her sentiments for Nathan that are all tied up with Jack and choose the man she chose to pursue a relationship with much early on this season- Lucas.

Kathy Greer: This has been a hard season to get through. It's more of a soap opera now and less of a feel good movie where lots of great family values like honesty and doing what is right is taught. I really love Lucas' character and how sweet, patient and non pressuring he has been to Elizabeth. Its hard to watch all that he has invested in her and his love go down the drain while Nathan swoops in. I just feel let down and disappointed.

I say this and i use to love elizabeth she was a great character even when she was being dramatic or goofy now shes just sad i dont want to see either guy or ally subjected to this elizabeth.
