Martin has also stated on numerous occasions that he would not lie to his fans (aside from book releases). If LSH was a possibility, Martinw ould have answered "I don't know, it could be possible, but I don't know". He would not have said "She is not coming back". As far as the background, they are very inconsistent in the backdrops. At Moletown, there is snow everywhere, but just before the Battle of the Bastards, no snow near Winterfell. Oddly when they jumped there was snow everywhere, but no snow right before the battle. S backdrops mean nothing. Umm Jaime in the Riverlands? Did you not read Feast for Crows...

bridget hoy: I don't know if the TV series will go this way, I have actually missed some of the earlier seasons, but if they were to follow the books, that wolf pack that was seen onsite, may not mean Arya. In the books, I don't believe Lady is dead and this could be when Sansa REALLY gets her Stark on and is reunited with her dire wolf. I have a couple of reasons for thinking Lady is not dead. Firstly, the prophecy that went with the discovery of the dire wolf cubs that said if the Starks lost their wolf, they would lose themselves. In the beginning, with Sansa being such a thick as a brick pain in the arse, it looked likely that she was losing her way, becoming less Stark like and more Lannisterish. But her character has grown, as has her backbone and she is resembling her mother's badassery more each episode. So, not lost her way, although no wolf in sight,may indicate the wolf is not so lost. Secondly. Ned Stark, who never lies, never actually said he killed Lady, and no one witnessed the killing. And traditionalist Ned Stark was well aware of the warning regarding his children's soul's being tied to the dire wolf's. Thirdly, in Dance with Dragons, Jon Snow was relating feelings he was getting from Ghost and Ghost was thinking about his brother's and sister's. And Ghost describes the situation"Once they had been six, five whimpering blind in the snow beside their dead mother, sucking cool milk from her hard dead nipples, whilst he crawled off alone. Four remained..and one the white wolf could no longer sense." Now to me, that reads as 4 siblings alive and one dead. Now I know, when the body of Lady arrived at Winterfell, the dire wolves mourned. But what if it was just the body of a large wolf? Because really, with the link that they all have, wouldn't they have mourned Lady's death when she actually died? The howling could have just been respect for one of the little cousins. Anyway, regardless of if this is true in the book, I know it doesn't necessarily follow for the series. But still..Sansa..with a dire wolf by her side facing off Ramsey.. who so likes to keep his own dogs well fed..that would be worth watching..

The Tainuia Kid: Brienne and Jamie conveniently heading to the same place. Expect a sweet reunion and some kharma when Brienne converts Jamie and he has the Lannister army slaughter the Freys the same way the Freys did the Starks. Poor Walder getting some kharmic justice. Brienne will just have to convince Sansa that Jamie is good. Like a lot of game of thrones titles "The broken man" will have multiple meanings. Jamie, Walder, The Hound, Blackfish...all broken men but some being fixed while others get broken.

Dude Cole: Sansa is used as a pawn in Littlefinger's scheme. He used her to help make the Boltons traitors by giving her to Ramsay Snow (Bolton), then escapes Winterfell (Littlefinger wanted that to happen). Now Littlefinger is using Robin Ayrn's forces to take winterfell. After Sansa is captured again, Littlefinger will be given a claim to Winterfell by Cersei. But I doubt that will happen. Looks to me that Littlefinger will be facing either Jon's or Brienne's sword.

Patrick Holt: Now I think about it, there is very little in the books and nothing in the series about the burial or other deposition of the dead arrangements of ordinary folk. So, there you have Sansa sitting in an Irish graveyard among 19th century Christian tombstones. We have never seen gravestones like that in Westeros. We have seen some people being cremated, including a Tully being burned in a drifting boat, and we know Iron Islanders are sunk in the sea, expecting to be brought to life again by the Drowned god. But how people are normally deposited in Westeros is unclear. The high nobles and Royals get above ground tombs. What about everyone else? Especially since, with Others creating wights as part of the folklore, it should be part of all the major religions to prevent that in some way.

Kat Henry: Season 6-4, Little finger says "The time has come to join the frey".  My immediate thought was "they are going to do in the Frey".  Second, I suspect that Littlefinger, knowing exactly where Sansa went, sent the Pink letter to stiffen Sansa and Jon's resolve to gather an army and march south.  Littlefinger is becoming the Kingmaker.  Or, in this case, the Queen maker.  He also likely arranged for for Ociea and Rickon to go to Winterfell with Ociea attempting on Ramsey's life.  Failed though it is.  I like the GoT Academy theory that Sansa won't stop in the north either, but will end up being the Queen of Westeros.  Jon will be her general, leading the armies of the north in her support.  Rickon is not old enough or capable enough.  Remember how the North were ambivelent about following Robb because he was too young and inexperiencd?  Double down on that for Rickon.

I'm thinking when Ned climbs those steps and sees his sister and the man she loves. The promise that he makes to her will be to keep her secret and those two runaway together. Whose to say that the man that Robert killed wasn't a skin changer. Reyagar would have killed Robert, he was the better fighter. And someone froze a passage  in  an old history book that  Joffery was reading that said Reyagar died in Dorin with Arther Dane another Knight..

StanBobPoe: hmmm, it could happen but it would have to be at like the end of the season. From what we've seen so far Brianne and Sansa will go and re-take Winterfell with Jon. But at the same time Petyr Baelish is riding there with knights of the Vale and while their help may be welcome and needed to take back Winterfell, with what he did to Sansa there will be vengeance. It would be really awesome though if they finally brought back Nymeria, and Arya returns to Westeros. One thing that always struck me as odd is why Jaquen originally tells Arya when giving her the coin that she can come with him and learn to kill and cross those names off her list, but then when she actually goes there she has to discard everything including her want for revenge because its keeping her from becoming no-one. In the show they even went to far as to punish her for doing so when she killed Ser Meran

We still have the huge battle with the White Walkers to deal with and that will take some time to get moving as they bring all the characters and plots together. Great job, Val.

Perhaps she will be the Stark in...Riverrun? At which time the Blackfish might reappear too, and perhaps Edmure Tully as well.

borntodie297: John snow returns not being the same shock? That would have been a lie if not for his return being the worst kept secret surrounding season 6 before release. And your piece of fabric, a new character? Armed with knowledge old and new from the latest episode (2 for myself), I say its most likely sansa. Look up a picture of her "get away" cloak and compare the patterns on them. The only other option at castle black might be Davos, but I doubt it even though he is shown to wear a lot of green cloaks on the show, I never seen him wear one with eleborate patterns on them.
