I liked the show because they didnt care about censoring anything and was just a free flowing show. Bad language, weird nudity, volger and sexual actions.. Its what made this show unique from other cartoons. Now it kinda feels forced to be something different.

I can't express how much the first season helped me come to terms with my experiences, I'd never seen a cartoon so carefully and honestly cover the kinds of trauma women and AFAB folks face so frequently without ever making it feel like drama to drive the plot. it's also so nice to see that the leads care about each other deeply while still having to put in serious work for their relationships to stay healthy. Christine Van: I love this show and completely did not anticipate a season two, until I had an urge to check in on Eric Andre's hair growth (because the youtube algorithm has not been recommending his clips to me), and I clicked on the Adult Swim youtube channel and saw tUCA AND BERTIE(???), AND A SEASON TWO THAT PREMIERED LITERALLY A FEW HOURS AGO?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!! I was devastated to hear that this absolutely deserving show did not get a season renewal, and to see a season two now is so so so wonderful!! In regards to this episode, there's a lot of truth in one's stagnation in a relationship of two very close people and an environment where growth isn't mandatory. Tuca and Bertie have a lot to unpack in their emotional growth and acceptance of themselves. I love how while the characters are very 'human', so to speak, while simultaneously being able to embody their behaviours in a radicalized way, driving points in, effectively utilizing the animated medium!! I might be straight tripping but I think I caught a moment alluding to a topic I would absolutely be interested in. Regardless, I love how this show normalizes woman's sexuality and kink; and a modern, realistic portrayal of mental health, counselling and its accessibility; and communication, self-expression and friendship; and diversity!!! This show covers so much, oh my god, I cannot wait to feel emotions and thoughts triggered by this show and react to its commentary on life, eee!!! CARTOONS FOR WOMEN, BY WOMEN, THANK YOU, OH MY GOD. I could literally go on and on but I won't. Final few thoughts; I like 'Nifty', I look forward to 'Nifty', I didn't catch their name but what a grounding and dynamic character; I like Tuca's cups, I have a personal mental health analogy on water cups; this show is so freaking balanced in tension and is so funny!! This was an amazing season opener and I can't wait to see what this show comes up with eVERY SUNDAY AT 11:30PM, MUWAHUAHUAHUAHUAHUAHUA!!
