And I'm fairly sure that Ryan will continue to be Batwoman--with Kate taking on a different role, serving as an "alternate" Batwoman, OR just riding off into the sunset with Sophie--so it's a moot point, anyway.

Fans of the new Batwoman have a right to say they love their new heroine. But the Production & Writers had several options like Introducing other Dark Knight Universe vigilantes such as Spoiler / Stephanie Brown, Bluebird / Harper Row who would have been recruited by Team Batwoman, as well as Flamebird / Mary Hamilton (who is already present since season 1) protect the city in the manner of season 5 of Arrow and at the same time present a plot in the manner of season 2 of DC Legend of Tomorrow where the character of Rip Hunter, disappears and c ' is the team he recruited in the previous season that acts. Until we find the character of Batwoman / Kate Kane with his usual interpretation or that Wallis Day returns to the fight. -Where then, the Production and the writers should have tried to convince the actress Ruby Rose to stay in the series. In order to make a compromise for the Fans to make sure to change the concept of the series and make the character of Kate Kane the series mentor of the new apprentice Batwoman. With 3 potential characters like the character of Mary Hamilton already existing in the series, Tiffany Fox a semi-new character with her brother Luke Fox who has been present in the series since season 1. To see even if you have a brand new character who is present in DC comics and remains in the spirit of the series Alysia Yeoh (transgender woman) who could have been the new Batwoman. Or, at the end of this season, make the new actress the new Batwoman / Kate Kane

vv.edits20: To be honest I didn't want Kate to come back, I prefer Batwoman is Ryan, I also liked Julia and Sophia or Ryan and Sophia ship, I hope Kate won't become Batwoman again and Ryan a different character because Batwoman is more suited to her. I like the actress who plays the current Kate Kane, but I wish it would stay as it was, i.e. without Kate coming back. The only thing that made me happy about her return was that Alice got her sister back.

Its that simple. And she need to become Batwoman again. The show shouldnt even be called Batwoman if Kate isnt on it or is Batwoman. That is fact !

My Getaway: i like that they didn't kill off Kate, she's one of the paragons and that's a big deal even if she doesn't return as Batwoman. Either way, Wallis is a likeable actress, i enjoyed her performance in Krypton and i look forward to seeing what she does here.

I V: i don't think they are going to have kate be batwoman again. I have 2 theories. 1- kate will get her memory back and everything with her father and Alice will almost come full circle but their will be just enough of a bit of a story for her to make a cameo or 2 in season 3. I also think that kate will choose not to be batwoman again, given how much good Ryan as batwoman has done to protect the city in her absence. I think kate will properly pass the mantle on to Ryan to continue on as batwoman and kate may go off to have a life with her family possibly or search for her cousin Bruce as her new mission. I happen to love Javica Leslie as Ryan wilder aka batwoman. It is so awesome seeing a African American portray batwoman and the actress is killing it! I think the series is coming back for one more final season to tie everything up. I feel like they are already starting to lay the seeds now towards the end of season 2.
