It's overall a great experience and well done.

Zeek: Since you can only intentionally break bedrock, why not build a cage at the nether roof out of the bedrock. Finding a suitable spot shouldn't be too bad, and the portal spawning trick would just be inverted. An added bonus, if it does somehow get out, there's not much to break in the void above, or the netherack and lava below.
