If they go against it for Ruby and Otis because, for some reason, most fans seem to prefer them then I'll be done with the show. Otis and Meave made sense and they genuinely cared for each other, and if they actually ended up with each other it would be healthy. Cause in all honesty, Otis only used Ruby to get over Meave, and Meave only used Isaac to get over Otis, even if it wasn’t their intention. Otis and Meave are so alike, they both like to help other people. As Otis said “It’s always been you”. It’s always been Meave.

PencilSpace: I can’t really control what the writer’s for the show will decide. What they do with these characters is their decision, but I would like to say that Maeve and Otis no longer works for me. I feel like Maeve’s stance on her relationship with Isaac and Otis was really messed up this season. The writers had a very good thing going with Ruby and Otis for a few episodes there, and they ruined it. It’s sad that the relationship between two characters who actually had great chemistry together was given up completely for the sake of two characters who are “supposed to end up together.” I was devastated near the end of the third episode when Ruby says “I love you”, directed at Otis, and his response was “That’s nice”,(What was that response tho couldn’t there have been a better response at least??). Post their break-up, I still had hope when she said something along the lines of not being able to be around him for a while. Then, she possibly sees Otis and Maeve kiss. And then, she disappears for the rest of the season, till the whole “We are the Sex School” incident, but that doesn’t really show anything related to their relationship, until you probably think about the fact that she probably knew it was Otis broadcasting the thing and she went to save him. That last one’s a stretch, but my point is this. Maeve and Otis was in my opinion a universally accepted ship. Then came along the episode where Otis wakes up after his party in season 2, and he finds out he did he deed with Ruby. It was here that her character received some development. At this point, I was still rooting for Maeve and Otis, but I said that I wouldn’t mind having Ruby and Otis as a couple. Then the second trailer for season 3 dropped, a day before it released on Netflix, and I saw the kiss that Otis and Ruby shared and by that point, I had completely hopped onto the Ruby and Otis train, leaving all the Maeve and Otis stuff behind. The thing is, it may be written in stone that Maeve and Otis will become a couple, but I don’t think it’s possible that they will be a good couple. Ruby and Otis had more chemistry and development in 3-4 episodes than Maeve and Otis did in the entire show is all I am saying. Controversial statement? Yes, but I think it’s the truth. You wouldn’t believe the amount of people that have ditched the Maeve x Otis train after season 3, and how many Ruby x Otis fans are now out there.
