Jane Gotshalk: They had a lot of injuries this year. I believe that Maddie retired b/c of an injury. Lisa had a serious neck injury and Daphne. This is hard core dance and it is hard on the body after so many years. That's why they require a high level of physical fitness from the ladies. Maddie is a gem. I commented on her Instagram that she was an honor to watch all these years and she responded. Just a class act.

Felicia Tierney: Maddie's story & journey really is one of my favorites having watched all the seasons of the show. It was such a great depiction of how someone can take the disappointment of not making it one year and come back the next year with more maturity & emotional fortitude and then take those traits even farther to emerge as a strong leader and mentor. I have no doubt that her experiences with the DCC will carry her through her life & enable her to accomplish great things.
