Chris: Great theories, about the family trend of akumatisations, leading up to Marinette's! I think you're onto something. It made me contemplate what might transpire should she be akumatised. I considered who she is most like - Miss Bustier, her teacher. Always wanting to help others. Then it got me thinking about Zombizou, where her teacher was the first to attempt resisting an akumatisation - saying to Hawkmoth, "I am not going to listen to you! You can't force me to do evil!". Which Hawkmoth twisted into giving her the power to force others to love. So Hawkmoth tends to offer his victims, what they want, with a friend-like demeanour. That's when I had my ah-ha moment, about Marinette's dream in Senti-bubbler. Shadowmoth enters Alya's home, just like a friend. He already has the miracle box in his possession. Marinette's fear in the dream, is being uncovered as Ladybug and everyone knowing. Which they did. Even Chloe taunted her by saying, "and to think you were lecturing us about not revealing secret identities!" Shadowmoth promised to make it all go away in her dream, if she just gave him her miraculous. All under the guise of friendship. So was Marinette's dream in Senti-bubbler, foreshadowing how she would be akumatised by Shadowmoth? He was promising to give her, everything she wanted - just like he did, with Miss Bustier. Having her family constantly pursued by Shadowmoth, she will likely resist an akumatisation - just like her teacher did. Because Miss Bustier wanted to protect her students from the akuma too. So what power will Shadowmoth concede to give her instead? Maybe the power to protect everyone she loves? There's a clue in Cat Blanc, who also appears in Marinette's dream. Cat Blanc was an akumatised Cat Noir, trying to protect his Lady. Only Hawkmoth used Adrien's identity and his connection to family (through his mother, and father) to overcome him. Ladybug and Marinette, are one and the same, too. Shadowmoth is tormenting her to make a choice between her family, or her Miraculous. Maybe that's where Princess Justice, comes into the picture again? She will risk destroying everything, to protect the ones she loves. A la Cat Blanc. But will she be akumatised as Marinette, or Ladybug? Don't get me started on my theories with Bunnix, at this point.
