Navnit Kumar: Katie is the best thing that happened to Supergirl and she definitely filled the gap that Calista left behind admirably but I also feel like they kinda floundered with her a little afterwards because she was accepted way too late as being actually part of the team. The stretching of the big secret for over two seasons more than it needed to be is the biggest sin that Supergirl writers have committed and if they had just done the reveal somewhere around season 3 we could have avoided the disaster that was season 5.

Not just for debuting Tyler Hoechlin’s perfect rendition of Superman, securing Supergirl’s future on the CW and being a perfect episode of television, but for also debuting Katie McGrath’s Lena Luthor. Ever since she came to National City, Lena has proven to be a complex, fascinating & well developed character. Burdened by her family’s evil machinations, wanting to do good in the word, the ups & downs she’s gone through with Kara/Supergirl and the rest of the team, it’s been a brilliant journey that Katie McGrath has portrayed. And I hope her story - along with everything else - gets the ending it deserves. Cheers for everything, Katie.
