It's whispered in hushed tones within families, it's always presented either extremely salaciously for sensation or with such blatant avoidance that they won't even use the correct, factually appropriate words. But it's difficult to prioritise addressing the problem when the information is not easy to synthesise due to 'coded language', euphemisms, and outright omissions.
