Neil Olson: The fact that Mattel turned the show into a cocaine-fueled mess of movement is disheartening. The relative stability of the visuals and use of color contrast in the original series made it great for autistic children as it was not overstimulating while still being interesting. This just looks like Mattel is trying to copy Paw Patrol and Chuggington. I really dislike the face designs. Each of the characters in the model era had a unique face, with the female characters not needing eyelashes to show that they were female (save for Daisy, who was just BoCo in drag). The face designs here just look really samey by comparison.

Logan Entertainment: We can all agree that the OG Thomas and Friends is great. Seeing my childhood show being turned into this, makes me think that this show is pretty much dead.

The Big World Big Adventures series saved to show and was completely amazing and the best CGI Thomas ever. AI Iv: Yeah. I'm curious about this season/reboot, but I don't have hopes for it either. My recommendation is to make a complete reimagining of the show: make it maybe more like Victor Tanzig's: with Faced and Faceless vehicles (I know he refers to the Faced as Non-Faceless, but I kind of don't like that for some reason). That could make good potential, and I have a summary of a pilot based on this world! Thomas, before he moved to Sodor, was the only Faced vehicle in his old line. When he moves to Sodor, he has trouble adjusting to his new life because he was so used to being alone. Can the other engines and his crew help our little tank engine? I know it probably isn't perfect, but at least I'm trying!
