@pavelvidenov1730: Honestly, this intro is SO MUCH better than the other one. Here you actually understand what is going on and it's not just a blood flow on a Valyrian macket. I understand the idea behind it, but it just doesn't look visually appealing. I know that the main idea behind it is the Targaryen legacy, family tree, and blood of the dragon, but it just felt like... Nah. Two minutes of just some rivulet. NOW HERE it is a completely different story. We follow the Targaryen history as it unfolds in front of us and we see more about the ancestors of the Targaryens and how they reached their current state. The whole tapestry itself is really good idea since usually in the past such events or family lines have been illustrated on them. The style itself is very suiting the theme and ambience of the show and gets one into the world of HOTD. Amazing work!

This is very heavy lore even for book readers but it’s to show that Aegon usurping Rhaenyra objectivly is wrong, just like how the Bloodstone Emperor usurped his sister the Amethyst Empress thousands of years earlier.

@mcnaugha: Still think it’s the weirdest decision in TV history to keep using this theme music. Should have been something heavily Targaryen or one of the beautiful new themes heard last season. Did they really judge the American audience that dumb, that they wouldn’t watch or get the show without this theme? Personally, I would have loved something based on the “Daenerys to the rescue” part of “Against All Odds”.

@sofire_ichor8597: What I found most interesting is that the trailer began and ended with Arrax... Allow me to explain: the very first scene shows a dragon like creature with fiery wings and strange face, and kneeling before it is a woman half-naked with her hands up as if in receiving something, and she's held at knifepoint by a man behind her. The second scene is a woman in yellow holding a man in red who may or may not be dead. The threads from there lead directly to the scene of Doom. So I'm assuming those two events are before the Doom of Old Valyria. So the first creature may have been the Valyrian God Arrax, the creator of dragons, and the woman -- a vestal bride receiving the magic in her blood that gives Valyrians special connection and bonding with the dragons. No idea what's up with the man behind her tho, most likely she was forced. And the second scene with the woman in yellow and man in red is driving me insane with curiosity. Who are they? How are they so vital to the Doom? My first assumption was Daenys the Dreamer but that doesn't explain the man, unless that's Gaemon but he wasn't Gaemon the Glorious until after he reached Westeros. I can't put my finger on this scene at all, and that's why I'm soooo looking forward to finding out. So the trailer began with the Valyrian God Arrax, the creator of dragons, and ended with the killing of Lucerys' dragon Arrax igniting a war that ultimately led to the death of all dragons. Shit, I wrote too much coz i was too excited😅

@emilyroosevelt4210: The idea was great as a very in depth drive into the history, but honestly the tapestry looked like bad embroidery, felt vacant, lacked color, lacked detail, and the animation was just badly done. It would have been a better effect if the tapestry looked like it was alive and moved rather or at least woven more intricately. It looked like something from a more wanton art period when proportions were done poorly during the dark ages and not really worth recreating as other art period styles could have provided better visual details to be informative. The only thing that carried it was the reuse of the opening credits theme song.

Ramin Djawadi is an amazing creator and choice of the studio to not get a new theme was the first (but probably only) thing that pissed me if in season 1.
