Hari Narayan Khalsa: When I saw this intro I seriously thought the whole season was going to be Jimmy McNulty: Boat Cop. This version of the song even has a sort of maritime sound to it--I had thought that was on purpose, not realizing it was the original version.

John Falcon: The smartest season, with the tightest storyline and plot. Perfect from start to finish. The last 3 episodes are truly amazing.

SOID DRONE SLAYER: HBO classic! The Wire was some real gritty, grimey, gutta hood tv shit. B-more wasnt too far off from the actual show, I think thats why people gravitated to itso much jus the plain reality of the drug culture, violence, corruption, scandal, and poverty in Baltimore, was overwhelming, alot of people dont know the producers of the show used the book The Corner: A Year in the Life of an Inner-City Neighborhood for many of the storylines of The Wire. My fav characters from the Wire was Avon, Bodie, Michael, Cutty, Kima and Jimmy.

DWSimmy: What I loved about Season 2 was how it expanded the series. It wasn't just about the Barksdales and corner dealing, it expanded the criminal elements to the docks. I was kind of hoping that in Season 3 they'd show another apsect, but instead they went the political route (Season 4 it's the school kids, I'm not at Season 5 yet).

simpyme93: No, I'm in the same boat as you. First time I watched it I loved it. The new atmosphere, new characters (Beadie and Frank are among my favorites from the show), etc. For a while it was tied with Season 4 as the best. Now, after having re-watched the whole show again, I definitely prefer it over 4.

DWSimmy: I guess I was one of the few people that actually liked Season 2 the first time around. Everyone else seems to like it the second time they watch it.

charlestonchewy: I don't see why lots of people disliked this season. This season was perhaps the most important, yet integral. Some scenes from the 12 episodes of season 2 parallels to the 1972 movie "The French Connection."

tazer95: @jairus10003 I've only seen seasons 1 and 2 so I don't know how the others will make me feel, but yes. The ending to season 2 made me want to take a cold shower and cry myself to sleep.

jairus10003: The Sobotka's were brilliant in this series, I found myself growing really fond of them toward the end. Perhaps the way it all ends is why it is so underrated, the hollow feeling the finale left me with is what made series 2 stand out. We can't always expect to see all the right men locked up and redemption for those who get sucked in. That's life. And that's why The Wire is so fantastic.

Alvin H. Davenport: @BestCodPlayersEver I do think it's a really underrated season. People talk about seasons 3, 4, and 5, which I loved a lot (I mean, it really is the best show on TV, ever), but season 2 was truly spectacular and people don't give it all the credit it deserves.

Drummafolife: the version fits the season so perfectly. Its more laid back, mellow, almost mischievous and sneaky. And that's how the criminal activity on the docks was. Sneaky, under the radar. Whereas the street level activity was loud, violent, and right out in the open. truly great show
