Adewuyi Comfort: In my opinion, I'd have turned for Shallom. What in the world were this judges expecting? It's the voice not the jam and gbasgbos? 🤦🏽‍♀️ What a joke 😂. On the flip side, Shallom put in a different twist, maybe a little too rough around the edges but his version was piercing. Good emotional delivery, great high notes, soft notes and what have you. I also think his past training as a classical musician had an influence on his presentation. Adding that to this type of song is a bit unfamiliar. This set of judges in my own opinion, do not know how to handle this type of voice. Big ups to you Shallom in the future. You'll do great things I believe. THE HIGHLIGHT Of THE NIGHT, FOR ME WAS SHALLOM.

Mykael Obasi: THE VOICE (global and in any country) should erect opaque partitions between the judges during the blind auditions that collapse or become transparent after the performance - that way, it truly is a BLIND audition! Besides, it will ensure that the judges have more autonomy, authenticity and freedom to turn because it seems they communicate and influence each other's choice while the performance is ongoing.

Mykael Obasi: I doubt THE VOICE organizers this year have an ethics person as a part of their crew, otherwise, he/she would tell them that the rule of the judges not turning their chairs to talk to a contestant who hasn't been selected is inhumane and unethical. Empathy is not only an integral part of life, it is the very essence of what makes us humans. Naess's Deep Ecology theory teaches us that all life (including a musician) has a right to self-actualization - a goal to become something more than he/she currently is. A word or two of encouragement will take nothing away from the show (not even significant time), rather it will help to project THE VOICE as a platform that truly supports talents in actualizing their musical ambitions, whether directly (through selection by the judges) or indirectly (by their motivational words).
