History Buffs: Narcos Season One - Part One
Комментарии (0)
@HistoryBuffs: Hey guys, one annoying mistake I made was that I said Simon Bolivar was Colombian. He was actually from Venezuela. My bad!Написать
@HustlenFett: Really towing the official line on Barry Seal and leaving a good bit out about him.
@DaveSingh-b9f: 👻👁️ who's hiding Who⁉️👉👁️➕🫣AMANDA?-🧠🦮💩👀
@DaveSingh-b9f: You going to like some 👁️neg🀄tive vibes around here❤👀
@Kurze1988: Love the overhead shots of the jungle beautiful no wonder so many myths about it
@umahe1: as a colombian i am ashamed to say it, but this dark period of our history is not usually told so well, even in schools it is a historical period that is usually omitted, for example today i learned that the m19 was financed by escobar for the attack on the palace. thanks for the video.
@kevingutierrez8965: Can you do Masters of the Air??
@Bessency75: Yo youtube your censorship is getting ridiculous
@MrZofer: SO WERE YOU POST IT YOUR VIDEO UNCENSORED
@okeynwachie: 28:25 so basically the judge killed a man and so the Netflix show changed the narrative and made it the dead guys fault. Wild.
@Ace-3.: God bless everyone and have a wonderful day ❤🙏
@leonardocastagna9295: AUNQUE PUSIERON MUCHOS ACTORES DE EL PATRÓN DEL MAL, ESTA SERIE NO LE PISA NI LOS TALONES....JAJAJA
@andrewlentner: What was the show/movie where the scene at 25:40 is? I just rewatched Narcos and I'm certain that that's not in the show
@waltersstreet: This channel is great
@louislinsley3128: I love this series! And, it's very germane to the current Political situation in the US, 2025... How a Constitutional democracy can be turned Upside Down by Narcissistic thugs and gangsters...huh.
@Millersmedias: So basically Pablo was a democrat? 😂😂
@dab5842: “The rules have changed” goes incredibly hard
@emanuelvasquez3380: 5:39 fun fact that saying was used in the 007 (9:35) film License To Kill
@Embarrassed_Rock_817: Scene sensor nm nooooooo!😮
@gesc1989: You forgot to mention the Colombian army dissappeared several people after the palace siege, good government
@jackifspades1973: Funny to think that the Cartels of today in Mexico are even more ruthless, yet the corrupt government of Mexico refuses to do anything about them. And it doesn’t help that President Biden and VP Harris opened the US border for anyone to come in. So now violent crime is on the rise along with drug smuggling.
@todd-617: A criminal politician with total immunity? Sounds so familiar
@mr.monkey6012: It’s crazy how powerful people can get in third party countries. If the cartel wanted anybody dead they would be dead asap.
@ahsdjasashdahs9940: 2:34 Doesnt sound bad
@pabloescobar-z7q: good video
@kristoferkoessel4354: “Silver, or lead, you decide.”
@slugshell2901: 2:10
@imbob1946: M-19 wasn't a marxist group as far as I know, cool vid tho
@BertoBoyd: Great music!
@linamontero5719: Plata o Plomo. Not plato...
@tastygravy6880: Escobar went from one of the richest people on earth to a maniac terrorist fighting a one man war against the world.
@ryanh4775: All right I have something that needs figuring out. In regards to George Jung he has stated many times that he talked and head full on conversations with Pablo. However people have told me who had personal interactions with him put Pablo did not speak conversational English he may have known a few phrases but not enough to go back and forth. For some reason George never seems to explain this away. And no I don't know if he speaks Spanish himself or not which would be a reasonable explanation. Other people who have had personal interactions with him we're very upfront that they used translators. For some reason this never seems to be explained away for Mr Jung
@LimitedCheetah: So blurry. Thanks YT, I guess you like covering for pablo by hiding what he did.
@ludomirsteinbruck9376: The only problem with Narcos is that they romantizised Pablo Escobar to much
@satinelover4068: I found a timeline mistake, when discussing that the DEA is of limits and Murphy explains what happened to Kiki that scene ocurred in 1981 in the show but in real life Kiki was killed in 1985
@keiththomas1180: Luis Galan kinda looks like Borat
@carsoncasmirri3874: Honestly I wonder what the all of 2 brain cells of the idiots in M19 were actually doing when they were thinking “yeah let’s kidnap the children of fucking drug lords, what’s the worst that could happen?”
@boochbass: I don't know how I just discovered this channel!! This is gold!!!
@delta9685: Is YT serious? What if i put sugar on the table and call it drugs? Will I have to censor it too?
@sobrevalorado: The actor who plsys Escobar speaks a very unnatural Spanish
@maximilianogarciachirinos3663: Simon Bolivar wasm't Colombian but Venezuela. Born in Caracas, Venezuela 1783.
@TenThumbsProductions: Pinochet was what Pablo wanted to be.
@TenThumbsProductions: The guy that played Pablo is Brazilian and his paisa accent sounds SO fake forced and cheesy. He sounds like a gringo trying to pretend to be Paisa. If you speak castellano it is very hard to watch this from the very beginning. It is made for people that don't KNOW ANYTHING about the real story.
@seadfacic2924: Nowdays CIA is smuggeling drugs to USA,smuggeling weapons to some guerrillas and purpose is only one-YOU WILL STAY POOR AND WE WILL TAKE WHATEVER WE WANT FROM YOU.Escobar left al least something for poor Colombianos.Descansan in paz Pablo Emilo Escobar Gaviria.
@seadfacic2924: Without those gringos with their military maschine Colombia would kick ass as a country.Even with Escobar es presidente.100%
@lordkenazo144: that name pineapple had me laughing
@ozkroca9003: That whole business about the M19 raiding the Palace of Justice because they were paid by Pablo Escobar is little more than a rumor, actually. The official story is that they raided the Palace because the government was not honoring the peace process promises made to them in the previous years. They raided the Palace of Justice to demand the newly elected president Virgilio Barco continued with the negotiations initiated by his predecessor. The M19 didn't light any fires inside the Palace. The fire came when the Colombian Army shot with tanks at the building. Some say it was because in the archives of the palace rested incriminating documents about powerful Colombian politicians being involved in the drug business.
@mrtoad6870: 25:00, so the US Government basically killed a man who didn't really deserve to be killed
@lappelduvide2445: small gripe. Simone Bolivar not Simon
@desired397: 11:10 . Service is no longer bundled AND History Buffs is no longer on EITHER PLATFORMS !!! If you want the videos now (uncensored) it looks like your only option is Patreon. The annoying thing is none of this is stated ANYWHERE on the YouTube page from what I can see, so unless you go exploring you won't have any idea where to find the uncensored videos.
@monaso9: The accents are terrible
@Tom_Samad: 22:28 Is that a UFO that flies past? 😮
@Biggy111: I was born in 88, and for some reason I LOVE explosions.
@TheKeyser94: Actually the Cartel of Medellin was under the leadership of Fabio Ochoa Restrepo, not Pablo Escobar, sure he exported big, but not as big as the Ochoa Family, Fabio Jr. along side Escobar were Lt. of the organisation, Fabio Ochoa never spend a day in jail, because he have deep political connections, and the politicians were more than happy to put all the blame on Escobar till this day, even that Fabio Jr. was arrested and jailed, it was a smart move, because the autorities put a target in back of Escobar and not Ochoa.
@Thetemplarsmonk: Is the guy who plays escobars lawyer, is he the deaf guy from Sicario
@baileyayyy5085: this show drove me insane lmao
@Cristianlopez-pd3eq: Is it possible you can make the series of narcos Mexico
@ilphi08: Still think it was super unethical for judge Polozola to do that to Barry Seal It was basically a public servant of laws enacting vigilantee justice
@WestSideGorilla1980: I visited Colombia in 2019, awesome country and people. Cheers from Chicago.
@mmsizzlak: If they just 'rented' that refrigerated truck, what happened to it once it got returned? Did they just return it and Burger King just put it back in rotation? They really did pull stuff like that back then so it wouldn't surprise me but I'm just saying.....
@OscarEqualsLove: Nick, Please do Black Flag next.
@marcojuarez3358: Fantastic..
@adrian_veidt: Walter and Gus wishes they were as powerful as Pablo
@benrodir2: censorship really fucks on this video. might as well delete ngl
@velociraptorxz: HISTORY BUFF NARCOS MEXICO!!!!!
@Jay_0602: Im a fan of narcos and the history behind the drug wars and Colombia always intrigued me. While I understand Escobar was an evil person no one can deny the fact that he was definitely a smart person, he wouldn’t have been able to do half the shit he did if he wasn’t. And stories like these are just so crazy to me cuz of how Quickly everyday people could turn out to be so powerful. But after watching the show I wondered just how much of it was fictionalized and how much of it did they get right
@hugodias2449: The amazing crapping power of the cia….like Midas from Ancient Greece…everything they touch turns into Shiite…😅😅😅😅
@rykno23: I have been subscribed to nebula for years now, never have seen your stuff at all. What gives?
@NATO94: Crazy how Oklahoma City had a weaker cement building than the DAS headquarters 🤔
@MachoMan_Vert: I love how people who were mad at netflix for humanising Dhamer had no problem they kinda done the exact same thing for this monster. Some idiots act like he's a tragic anti hero and I shid you not I once saw some commented "RIP legend" under a clip from the show.
@musicalnihilist5143: 43:10 these names sound way cooler in Spanish, or even in English with a Spanish accent. Spanish phrases sound really dumb when you translate directly, especially songs. Despacito just means slowly 😳 🤦
@ikruger8334: Do narcos mexico
@salesman79: Pinochet destroyed the narco business in Chile. After him now we had huge problems with crime. I think history buff is not accurate with that.
@LulSpazzout916: 37:19 thats a lil overkill
@goonofathousandvoices6965: Please do all seasons, so much they got wrong!
@agitatedzone: Prefer the Bowden book
@elperrodelautumo7511: My gta verse fan fiction has this Pablo Escobar parody person set in the country of San Escobar. 🇵🇷 in some island chain of Chelonian Islands. Or Chelonia. 🐢 island of turtles. Named Arturo Aguilar. The Robin Hood boss. Patron. The difference is that he wanted to be the boss behind the scenes. Even play sides with the CIA and Marxists.
@TonyDiaz.: Just a little advice, my good friend: you missed a tilde on the letter ‘o’ in PATRÓN. This is because the ‘o’ syllable is stressed and in Spanish, most stressed or accented syllables have this orthographic sign. Anyway, thanks for the awesome content.
@MatrixOne500: Great video, so much research and info.
@scionixx9568: That judge that did that to Barry seal should be put in prison, bro. His actions directly led to his death, all because he didn’t like the guy. Impartial my ass.
@olof1382: nebula? looks like paid youtube
@Martin_Vienna: Barry Seal helped the CIA smuggle Weapons to the Contras & other Anti Communist Groups in South America He then returned with Cocaine from Columbia as "payment" After the Reagan Administration showing the Picture on TV & the Justice System convicting him for it he was set up imo so that all of his Secrets died with him in 85 in Baton Rouge He probably had collected Evidence on all of the "Players" involved & the CIA must've been sh*tting their Pants so they put him in this Place & let everybody know that he'll be there for 6 Months going to his Work at exactly the same Time every Day The Cartel then send a few Sicarios & et voila Problem solved This is at least my Opinion
@kevinc809: Good job on this. I lived in Medellin for many years, know the real story well. A few things- I'm pretty sure old man Ochoa was the real boss. The top dog. Escobar was basically a street thug who got lucky. Smart but they were in the right place at the right time., as you said. I haven't seen the entire series but one thing I noticed is the lack of a true paisa accent by the actors. It's a very unique and real nice accent I think. Pablo Escobar, el patrón del mal had mostly Colombian actors so they nailed the accent.
@stephenrobinson8244: Can we get one on breaking bad? It's amazing how no serious news companies haven't ran that story
@creatrixZBD: 3:30 “a near brush with death” is a tautology. One either has a brush with death, or one has a near-death experience. Not both. Adding random words does not add emphasis, it dilutes your statement
@KurtLeroy-mx1xi: Every day as a teenager my parents would turn on the news and I would see the on going hunt for this evil man so when this show came out I definitely watched it brought back a lot of memories.
@ThatGuy-zt6po: We all knew, but it felt so good to watch each episode and swear you were watching something so falsely authentic.😏
@ScrappyDoodlez: The brutality is so saddening
@boromirtheblasted883: SIMON BOLLYVAR
@mawortz: he was a CIA asset
@MichelleCooley-zk4jp: The Ochas were the first white coller...
@cecilia4505: As a brazilian, I can tell that Wagner Moura (the actor who play Pablo Escobar) was brazilian too. To someone who speaks portuguese as a first language, spanish sounds very square; Moura's spanish is very round and it reminded me of my mother's, who is brazilian, spanish.
@thorvelasco1467: La CIA made Pablo.
@FlaviusBrocephus: Would you say that Escobar's cocaine production was in-tents?
@Mirpurmad: Pablo, what a scumbag, really hate that piece of work.
@TransSappho: 21:44 I disagree, a mugshot would only be proof of an arrest, not that a crime was committed
@goofygoober420: 2:33 what's this scene from? I don't remember it in narcos
@abhieyighanvayo6329: Watch el patron del mal. Its about Escobar but more interesting than this
@thegteam4349: Wagner Moura was absolutely amazing in his role as Pablo Escobar.
@vmmd8229: Just finished watching it and wondered if you have one on it then boom !
