@ImSpartan039: Daeho said he was a 1140th Marine, and the 1140th Marine Corps joined the army in April 2011. A few months later, the Ganghwa Island Marine shooting occurred ( real life ). I think its inspiration came from that, and the show may tell a similar story. He also flinches thinking Player 120 may slap him. He may have been scared because of that incident. Also, I think his father forced him to join the Marines. I think he said something like, "That was my father's idea," when talking about it. It's most likely his dad made him join the Marines without a choice because he wasn't considered manly enough, being close and playing games with his four sisters.

@AstoriaMind: Loved so much about S2, but when Gi-Hun came up with his plan it was clear he was so consumed with his own revenge that he lost sight of the bigger picture. (ty for acknowledging this point in the reaction too) When he was asked about the sacrifice for the greater good by 001, he was fine with it. I mean they could have at least warned the other X's or had them "sleep" as high as possible so they would have had a fighting chance when attacking O's tried to climb up to kick or push them back down. -This was a plan to me that didn't make any sense also because those people weren't ever there for a revolution, they wanted the money or to leave! Gi-Hun was the only one who had the feeling of vendetta because of past experience and was fine putting others at risk for it. Honestly hated this part, but guess the show is telling the viewers there really are no true heroes here.

@je_art_gallery: obviously, 388 has PTSD, he was forcefully sent to the MARINES because his dad thought he was too soft and too girly playing and always being around his sisters, all that gunfire probably brought back his trauma, and panic attacks. He is from Marine class 1140, he enlisted on April 18, 2011, and was discharged on January 17, 2013. During this period in South Korea, the Ganghwa Marine Corps shooting incident occurred, that's maybe why he was Flinching, shaking, and panicking. Let's all be thankful to him, coz 120 is saved because of him... our 120 is our MVP for this season... So sad that history repeats itself 456 friend (390 Park Jung Bae) are killed just like what happened in season 1 (67 Kang Sae-byeok and 218 Cho Sang-woo).

While saying The season ends with the start of the American version of Squid Game.

He did all he did in the previous episode just to lead gihoon on AND THEN just cut him off at the knees, pull the rug from under him , at the right, most crucial time. There was never any remorse or compassion in him . He has a tiny bit for his brother, but that is it. He wants gi hoon to suffer, really wants that, you can see it in his face at times in previous episodes.

@jamesosteen09: I'm hoping that maybe it was 011 that shot the father and it wasnt a kill shot and at some point she's going to figure out where the marked / alive victims are going and rescue him before they can harvest his organs. it seems like there was too much build up for him to just be shot and killed that quickly. Unless the guilt of his death will just result in her eventually turning.

@ashleycase644: I feel like Gi-hun is actually having fun playing the games especially when he picks his best friend to fight with at the end. He did everything he could to get back there. He does want to play the hero and because he is a winner the frontman is helping him. If we go back to episode 1 the salesman shows us that gamblers always pick the lottery not the bread. Gi-hun is a gambler through and through. He didn't even go and visit his daughter or talk to her once. He is not who we think he is at all.

@fotisagem: M25s aren't actually used in regular branches of military, so it would make sense that daeho didn't know how to work that gun specifically and hyunju (because she was in special forces) would :) also I FULLY believe that daeho was a Marine and not just because of mandatory enlistment lol. there're too many quirks and personality traits to his character that would be completely erased if he was lying about that. It looked a lot like complex PTSD to me, coming from somebody whose father (Marine), sister (Army soldier) and grandfather (Marine) have combat at PTSD. I'm really glad that y'all didn't just start jumping on daeho though, he gets entirely too much hate as it is😞 there's just a lot of open backstory with his character that I'm hoping we get next season because I'm so intrigued by him. 😭

@JohnMC61: I just read that supposedly Season 3 is going to pick up 20-30 years later. That better be wrong, I read it on Google main page in an interview with the creator. That could be why the Red Light, Green Light at the end might look a bit different, and that's a new group of players coming in. If it's going to be a time jump though, why introduce the soldier #11 story-line? I really like player #120 and the Mom and son.

@olebogengmokobane215: I've thought about this for a bit, and I don't think In-Ho was wrong to call out Gi-Hun and saying he just wanted to be a hero. I say this because, if he really wanted the "X"'s to leave the game, it'd be safer to launch a pre-emptive attack against the "O"s and then try to win the vote the next day. He didn't do that because of his own moral code, even though the irony of that is pointed out when he deems it fit to sacrifice members of his "side" one moment but still stand on a high horse saying it would be wrong to shoot some of the "O"s afterwards because then they'd "become like them." He dragged the other participants into being revolutionaries with him because of a chip on his shoulder and experiences that the other participants don't entirely share with him.

@jenniferhamels1176: 10:20 Gi-Hun still trying to have the moral high ground after sacrificing some of his own team. You already stooped to their level. At this point I’m rooting for the Front Man. It would be more believable if there was a twist outcome at the end of season 3 where Gi-Hun is faced with a decision to be the next Front Man. For example, be the next Front Man and continue to sacrifice people for the games or sacrifice the safety of your daughter. There is no believable outcome to change the fact that there will always be desperate people and there will always be people who will exploit that.

@pinkjichu5881: I think what hurts the most about Jung Bae's death is that in the third episode Gi Hun tells him to stay close to him so that he can be safe and in this episode he is shot for that same reason, because he is the closest to Gi Hun, his best friend, the person he cares the most in that place. 😢
