Edward Smith: Its so dumb, Octane finally is competitive, and then go and do this to him. Octane already takes too much damage, when in combat that stim damage actually matters a lot. Increasing it basically makes him not competitive in the higher ranks anymore. On top of that, Rev needed a big buff, not a small one...the only reason why Rev has been doing so well lately has been because of Octane, so they are already hurting Rev by hurting Octane. So basically Rev is getting hit twice next season. At least low profile will be removed from the game, thats something.

Edward Smith: Nah, they should have given Lifeline's shield health. I don't main Lifeline, and I have lost multiple games due to her overpowered ability, but I still think "no shield" is a not a good move.

What's the point of reviving someone, being the only medic character in the game, if you just shoot them. I think a better fix would be the shield should have a cool down. Maybe 25 seconds. Once you use it then the next times during the cool down won't have a shield. I think the game is starting to cave in on itself now with dumb changes like this.

I have never used a cp as lifeline bc it requires ur whole team to sit in one spot for too long. If she had fast heal back she might be viable but her passive was her only thing going for her.

Neos Neos: This is a pretty rough nerf for Lifeline. Sure the shied was strong, but there were a ton of ways to fix it besides removing it. Make it half height cover, make it less curved, give it HP, make the drone fly higher and/or easier to shoot. Any combination of these things would have made it fine to deal with. I don't think her buff is going to get anyone "back in the action" either. Her drone will heal 12hp per second instead of 7.5, meaning if you time it perfect and the drone is already out, you can use a battery and it'll be like using a phoenix kit. But how often are you going to have the opportunity to do that? Your Lifeline is going to have to have ESP to know when her team is going to need a drone in within 12 seconds of a fight going bad (because it only lasts 20), pop it in cover where the team is going to hide and no one can see you or shoot it, and hope the whole team batting and healing off drone in one place doesn't make them a huge target for anyone to push. Which they will. If I see a Lifeline on the enemy team and I see anyone fall back, I'm going to be prepared to push and spray into all of them, because their positioning is going to be pretty obvious with a green glowing drone that they need to stay within a meter of. Instead they should have set the healing to 10, increased the drone out length to 30 seconds, doubled the tether length, and made it so it heals over time at half power for anyone who stays attached to it for more than a couple seconds and then leaves. So you basically have a slow octane heal on anyone who grabs it, and make it last 15 seconds for 75 health even if you leave. So say you're 1 hit, you get up to the drone, wait long enough for it to hit the first 4th of your bar, then you're good to leave if you want/need to, and in 15 seconds you'll be at full. Or you stay there and in 8 seconds you're back at near full, which is long enough to bat your armor, and leave the effective zone of the drone, and you'll be full in 3ish seconds, before you're back in the fight. And the gear drop is going to have issues too, especially if it's based on the Lifelines gear and not the parties gear. I'm fine with sharing, but I can see a lot of randoms demanding the best gear in all slots so they might get an upgrade or two for the others. I can already see someone demanding I drop my attachments on the off chance that there's a new mag in the package for the other guy, and then never returning them when there isn't. Instead, why not give loot based on something like the number of remaining players? If you're in a lobby with some preds, and your first package is blue armor because Lifeline had nothing, what good is that going to do when half the lobby is dead and they're a 3 man with red armor? I donno, it all just seems like a bandaid without actually fixing any problems. Like, give the shield health, make the drone more mobile friendly, maybe give the care package some deployable cover panels or something since most people just use it as a wall anyway.
