He is a clone of the most powerful sith/Jedi, infused with midiclorians, created to serve the remnants of the empire. The clone will escape from the control of the scientists and will kill everyone in the lab. Then he will develop his powers and use them to take over the remnants of the empire and create the First Order.

Darren Parks: I don't think the clones are for palapatine or snoke. I think they are trying to make a group of super soldiers similar to jedi just more controllable and less powerful than sith apprentices and more of them then the grouping of 2. But if they are for palapatine than they're trying to give palapatine a stronger, younger body to be transferred into. If moff gideon kills Ashoka I quit star wars. "The purge" purging that building or the empire from that planet. Filoni does the next episode so it'll be filled with Ashoka I hope they don't wait til like the last 5 minutes to intro her. I think the dark sabre is beskar but uses the energy from the crystal around the sword. So instead of raising from the hilt the crystal creates like field of energy blade around the beskar. The soldiers are cyborgs at the end with the blood powering them, making them bad sith like soldiers just not as strong.

ThunderButt55: Know this is probably late- But I am fairly sure the clones that were being made are Clone Models of Snoke. The head shape was very similar, and it would make sense because that would be a way to merge The Madalorian with the new movies. After all, Snoke was Force Sensitive, and we saw that Palpatine had many clones. With the end scene, I have a strong hope that they are Stage 2 Dark Troopers. This can be backed up with the insignia the scientist has on the back of their right shoulder. In Legends, this can be backed up because the same people with that insignia made the Dark Trooper Models, AND they have similar clothing to the scientist we see in Rouge One when we see them all get killed by Death Troopers. DarqeDestroyer: When they discover Ahsoka they are going to try to capture her since she is a massively Force senstiive individual and her body mass (and hence blood volume) is a lot greater than that of Baby Yoda. The Dark Troopers may actually enable them to capture her. It will be a bit FUBAR if Ahsoka's blood ends up being the source of power that resurrects Darth Sidious.

Kara Dune was so dope in this episode I've always loved Gina Carano. It gives me all these questions about what the empire is doing with those clones. Looks like they failed with all of them. They look messed up like snoke. the troopers looked dope though. I hope they don't get Ahsoka's blood and kill her. they better not kill the child either. I loved the episode and the awesome stormtrooper fights. it makes me hyped for the next episode.

KC Myers Voorhees: I was shocked when Baby Yoda said huh, when Mandalorian had him do mechanics, also was surprised that the blue guy was somehow free of carbonite and laughed when Baby Yoda used the force to take the kid's snack. I was only disappointed that Ashoka didn't show up.

wozzow00: I have a theory: Moff Gideon is not the mastermind behind these imperials and I have 3 reasons for this. One, the ship Gideon was on was an imperial light cruiser. Two, I believe those black suits Gideon was looking at were Dark Troopers or an advanced version of the imperial sentry droids seen in Rebels. Three, the cloning project at the base on Nevarro. The first reason is a bit simple but if Gideon was the leader of this imperial remnant, I'd think his command ship would be a Star Destroyer, not a light cruiser, I know that Star Destroyers would be much more rare during this time after Endor, but the imperial captain in the last episode mentioned that they were going to meet up with a fleet, which leads me to assume they must have at least one Star Destroyer in this fleet but it is currently being used by the imperials true commander. The second reason makes me think that Gideon is just the overseer of this project with the child and these black troopers because when he appeared in the season one finale with his tie fighter it was the same used as the pilots in this most recent episode, Gideon was probably checking progress at the base and when he learned the child had returned he took one of the pilots fighters to deal with the situation himself. The third reason not only makes me think Gideon isn't the one in charge, but also gives me a good idea who is, but first I want to mention that if the dark suits Gideon was inspecting were improved sentry droids, then there is only one person in canon known to have used them, and this same person in legends used cloning technology to boost the imperials numbers after the battle of Endor. In short, I don't think Palpatine is involved in any way, I believe that these imperials are being led by Grand Admiral Thrawn and Moff Gideon answers to him. Please like this so the man above will see it, also comment with your own thoughts about my theory.
