TJD: I don't know why, but there's something off to me in terms of graphics, like he doesn't seem alive. Maybe because his facial expressions are so restricted or there're tons of makeup/clay. Also similar beasts in the first season looked awful (like Torque/Sylvan in the 2nd episode or dragon In the 6th)

Wyatt Fish: Right so… this conversation doesn’t happen in the short story. Geralt doesn’t get to Ciri till some years later. Seems like theyre not adapting the actual story; they’re just introducing Nivellen as an “old friend” of Geralt’s instead. Makes sense, but a little disappointing

Łukasz Idzikowski: So Nivellen is an old friend now? They sure like taking their liberties (going by Season 1, generally for worse). Ciri tagging along aside, that wouldn't necessarily have to change the course of the short story.

Emile Vinesh: Did they use practical make-up on Kristofer Kivju? If so, they did a great job AND I have to give props for not CGI-ing the monsters too much in the show. It's been a mix of practical FX and CGI and I'm glad they're going that route!

Maciej Keslinke: According to the books, they shouldn't have known each other in advance. It might be a drastic change for the series and somehow the story may diverge in a completely different direction, not even mentioning Ciri's presence at that time in Nivellen's manor.
