N Brown: I didn’t think Nate was a good friend when he left in the middle of the night. He could have slept on the couch. I think Issa was able to show true friendship when she checked on him after he felt emotionally hurt after the exchange between him and his cousin. She could have went inside the club (which is equivalent to Nate’s abrupt leave at Issa’s house), but she didn’t.

Shu: It’s so interesting that everyone was talking about how Nathan always just leaves. Issa asked him why he just left, his friends commented on how he just left and then his cousin and his wife. Very interesting how that wasn’t explored in this Wine Down coz that seemed very on brand for Nathan. Also quite cool that Issa stuck up for him in that moment even after all the times he’s left her.

Shaq’s Circle: I love how Nathan and Issa are kickstarting something together, I’m hoping that they’ll both be able to communicate their feelings/thoughts more clearer with one another
