Currently they both are growing with their powers and are not able to use them to their full extent. Further ahead in the story we will meet the Sages Apprentice Shaula, she will identify Subaru as her late Master by his scent, allthough Subaru does not remember meeting Shaula before. It is highly likely that the witches miasma that engulfs all sin archbishops is unique to every primary user of an authority. Flugel, Shaula ´s former Master, shared the same scent as Subaru and would therefore be at least in possession of an authority. And thats where my theory begins. As the story progresses Subaru will continue to encounter devices left by Flugel. The very first of these "devices" is Flugels Tree, which Subaru and his allies use to kill the White Whale. All these Assets are conviniently placed in Re:zeros world as if Flugel knew theire purpose in the future. IF Subaru is Flugel and Emilia is Satella, they or he would be able to plant clues and leave assets for his past and future self to solve the problems he will encounter. It would explain why Shaula identifies Subaru as her Master, why Subaru is a promising Sage Candidate and why Satella is so obsessed with Subaru. I am still missing a few pieces for this puzzle but I guess that we will get there eventually.

RVeeb: Anyone else notice that Emilia's eyes looked really weird this episode when she started crying? They look "low-res" or something, and just blurry overall. I get what they are trying to do with the effect, but it is so off-putting and looks terrible to me. Also sad that they made so many art style changes like not shading character eyes are ears anymore, and drawing a bunch of the male characters with 2 nostrils now instead of 1. I love this show, but it sucks that the art quality has gone down and I hope they don't make any more cuts :((

Tactical Toastr: Love the video! Though I have mixed feelings about the kiss. On one hand I am super happy for subaru and emilia who is always dealing with judgement and pressure being reassured that no matter how low she falls he will love her. Im sure that would really help her. But on the other hand, I cant help but feel like this isn't a 100% confirmation that she has those same feelings for subaru as he does for her. At least not off this instance. It sorta felt like he forced his feelings on her when she was in a very fragile emotional state of self loathing. (Obviously not as bad as the fake first kiss) I cant help but feel he might have unintentionally taken advantage of her condition, and put her in a position where she couldn't even answer him in a more clear mind. Rationally speaking of course. But since this is anime, I doubt that's how it will be taken. The scene was still very beautiful. It doesn't top rems confession in my heart but this episode was a high point of this season for sure. What are your thoughts on this kiss?
