Every reactor I watched was fooled, so I'll copy my explanation here. Willie didn't say ""Most of them will be Eldians! They're spawn of the devil!" Correct translation: "Most of them will be Eldians! Aren't they supposed to be spawn of the devil!?" Willie is pointing out that it's Marleans and others who call Eldians that, Magath has sent Eldians on suicide missions, and now he's suddenly concerned!? That's what's going on as Willlie snaps at Magath. Willie acted as Erwin Smith did in season 1. He placed innocents in danger to smoke out enemy. Just like Erwind did with Annie in Stohess district. Hitch was upset that she had to clear civilian corpses because Survey Corp were crazy enough to let innocents die for a cause. Same thing here. Explanation of how that mistake was possible follows. Feel free to skip if not interested in linguistics. The second phrase goes like this: Akuma no matsuei nandaro? Here's the problem. Translator clearly didn't hear the final "ro" which changes the meaning. Akuma no matsuei nanda! < This means "(They are) Spawns of the devil!" Akuma no matsuei nandaro? < This means "(Aren't they) Supposed to be spawns of devil?" The final "ro" was indeed hard to hear, but one got to pay attention to intonation and stressing of sounds. If one says "nanda" affirmatively then the first "a" is stressed. Like "nAnda". If it doesn't end there and keeps going into "nandaro", then first two "a"s are flat and the final "o" is stressed in comparison, like "nandarO". So the moment you hear flat "a"s in "nanda" you know it's gotta be longer than that. Btw, to express shock and disbelief as in "what!?", the last "a" would be stressed and slightly prolongued like "nandAh". To express wondering about something one stresses the first "a" and prolongues last "o" like "nAndaroh..." as in "(I wonder) what (is that)..." Translator failed to hear the phrase correctly. Happens all the time in audio translation, btw.

Arvin Sartillo: WIT quit on AoT because they know they can't keep up with the demand since they are a small studio. The committee/higher ups asked studios to take in Attack on Titan after that, no studio wanted to, and only MAPPA was up for that challenge. The committees ordered MAPPA to have it done in less than a year and THAT is such a tight schedule, and animating hand-drawn titans takes hundreds to thousands of frames and rushing everything, will literally kill the studio's employees, since there will be soooo many action scenes utilizing titans from here on out. If no studio took in AoT, Season 4 wouldnt have been animated at all. It would take years again for it to be animated and eventually the hype will die down. So, choose your tea, have the show be delayed for god knows how long? Or keep going with Season 4 with its good use of CGI?
