@ToxicBalloon360: This season was ultimately the most disappointing thus far but was saved by Butcher and Starlight's character arcs as well as Antony's acting as Homelander and of course, A-Train's redemption. The finale was also pretty good, with this scene probably being my favourite of the entire season. Outside of that it just felt like unnecessary fluff - I didn't care one bit about Frenchie or Kimiko's character arcs - we've already explored more than needed in the previous seasons. The whole thing with Hughie's dad was quite emotional in the end, but was also ultimately something that just came out of nowhere and served no other purpose than to traumatise the character (yeah, I know trauma can lead to interesting character development, but in Hughie's case it means I have to stare at Jack Quaid's ugly ass face try to emote so idgaf). Couple that with a shit ton of unnecessary "shock value" scenes (Splinter), overall the season felt like filler. I will give credit where it's due and say that the stakes at the end of this season do seem to set up a potentially very interesting Season 5 - that's if it's pulled off correctly. I just hope they ditch the unnecessary subplots and stick to the main story.

@BenchongDy: How the hell did Sage get footage from the bunker? Why is there footage in the bunker? Why didn't Starlight escape fast enough when she conventionally can? Why is every choice reversible by an ex-machina (everybody gets a pardon)? Why does Butcher need permission from his "tumor" to be a supe? Aside from plot conveniences, why did Starlight lose her powers, and suddenly got it back just in time to have her escape? Why is Sage acting like a Light Yagami wannabee? Does Butcher actually think he can win by being a squid? Why didn't Butcher realize that killing Neuman changes nothing, and leaving her alive, the vice president, would make her a potential ally? This show went full retard.

Every new season the show loses pieces trying to entertain only with a few swear words and a bit of splatter. In my opinion the producers are clearly running out of ideas and no longer know where to go. It gets worse and worse, I liked this fourth season even less than the third, the fifth will be a total defeat

@jordanjoestar3474: I dont feel really surprised when they killed off Neuman because I already expected it this season... BUT for Butcher to kill her? Its crazy. He doesn't even have the slightest sense of hope in those people. The guy WILL kill without hesitation, thats crazy to me. Hes like, giving in to this scummy world in just mere seconds after witnessing what his wife's innocent kid did. I also love how everyone was totally shocked when Butcher showed his power, it seemed very natural. And the way Frenchie couldn't have the strength to pull the trigger on Butcher is pretty accurate. I feel like everyone there can hardly think after Butcher killed Neuman. Butcher took control of the situation with ease, and the Boys are powerless and pretty much doomed knowing Butcher will go for the virus and dip out. I think it will be cool if by the end of this show, its arguably him anymore. But although you may find him different, it couldve just turned out to be the same ol Butcher. I mean, Kessler, his whole impact on Butcher's decision, is only a manifestation of his darkest side thats coming from the past. Butcher having gone to war with his buddy Kessler dead probably did a damage on his psychology, and Becca being sexually assaulted has always been the sole reason he hates supes. He arguably has always been like this. It will be cool if next season we get a glimpse into Butcher's dark past, from the time he went to war, all the way to the time he worked with Mallory and founded The Boys. It can be done in a way like how it was shared through words or implications from Kessler without any flashback scenes. Im fine with either of those two.

@jasoncoladonato1034: I’m not sure if it was intentional, but Butcher is very reminiscent of Doc Ock here. They both have “tentacles” of sorts that more or less control them, making them villainous. But they still are in there somewhere. Otto is still Otto; he’s not completely gone. And Butcher’s more remorseful side is there too. Kessler would’ve just killed Neuman’s daughter, Annie, and Kamiko right then and there and maybe everyone in the room. But he didn’t. It shows that even though Kessler has taken over now mostly, Butcher is still there somewhere. I find the Doc Ock parallel very cool.
