@The_Isaiahnator: 2:31 I know it's unfair to compare 1/3 of Season 2 to all of Season 1, but I just watched Act 1 of Season 2 and I prefer the writing in Season 1 slightly more, which was a masterclass of subtlety, nuance and show-don't-tell. The characters in Season 2 have a tendency to either give monologues that are longer than the pithy, laconic dialogue of Season 1, explicitly state what they're thinking rather than be subtle and leave their exact thoughts to audience interpretation, or provide exposition rather than allow the audience to piece together the narrative based on context clues. *In the writers' defense, this could be due to Season 2 being the conclusion to this story, and Storytelling 101 states that you make explicit in your conclusion what was implicit in your beginning.* Also, the beginnings of the first three episodes used montages overlayed with music to quickly tell a smaller story within the bigger narrative, but these aren't as immersive as the openings of the episodes of Season 1, which usually showed the early, formative and difficult events of whichever character(s) that specific episode focused on.
