@b-dub6865: Terrible first episode. We basically watched a bunch of people check into their hotel. Very monotonous & slow, & no plot or substance. It’s basically a repeat of the first 2 seasons, except there isn’t a character that really grabs your attention like Murray Bartlett or Coolidge. Idk. The writing seems lazy. Either Walton Coggins needs to lose his sh**, or they need to bring Murray back. Not a good start.

But not what I think you mean (i.e. that I'm a so-called "LBH" - LOL) I was on sabbatical in India, had had enough and came here in January 1997 because I didn't want to go back to Canada in the middle of winter. I got a really good job in media, almost immediately and decided to stay and have been in Thailand for most of the last 28 years with a few breaks working in other countries. I'm just a bit of a sticker for accuracy, which is probably unrealistic for a TV show that has to cater to broad, international tastes. I'll still watch the show just to see how it all develops and will try not to scrutinize it so much through a Thai lens. One thing I like is that the Thai music is really good and underscores the drama of the show really well. They should have subtitles for those who don't speak Thai.

@bolewts58: I have lived and worked in Thailand for 28 years. I like Lisa and she's good in this. But I found Ep. 1 very cringy. So many Thai stereotypes. I especially hated the "LBHs" reference. I've never heard this term in reference to bald, or any other kind of white men of a certain age. There are lots of them here but not all that many on Koh Samui where this was filmed. Most of them are in Pattaya, Phuket or Chiang Mai. The Thais do have terms for them, but not LBH. The main thing though is the guests at the spa are for the most part repulsive. But maybe that's the point.
