HuzlTea: Ima day 1 Walking Dead fan but I absolutely love this show! I never got into Z Nation because I hate the way Syfy over exaggerate everything to the point of Being Cheesy and unbelievable. This show Bridges the gap between The Walking Dead and Z Nation. While I love a likeable character with plot and character development I also like to see reality. I feel like this show is the truest form of what would happen if we found ourselves in this circumstance. There will be no time to get to know anyone when you're trying to figure out where your next meal is going to come from. It's a raw and gritty explanation of what if and I love every part of it. If you want to love somebody watch The Walking Dead but if you want to know how to survive watch black summer!

DxWiggins: I think Braithwaite was a hallucination because Spears was dying. If you rewatch that episode and pay attention to how he tells spears to pick up the bag and carry stuff even though he’s wounded. And the cult leader only refers to spears. And then braithwaite was just gone when spears shows up. There’s some other things that point to Braithwaite being a hallucination but I recommend rewatching the episode and looking it up on google.

nashee anjel: lil james and sun were my faves survivors from s1 and i wanted them to both survive, but request declined. i wasn't a fan of how lj died. it didn't make sense. he fought all this time to survive and he wouldn't give up like that. how would he go from an infection he could survive to just giving up? the home remedy would have been suitable for a time, but everywhere they ended up he made no attempt to look for antibiotics, honey, anything clean to flush the wound and use as a fresh dressing.

Like no one could of healed him. 7. They go to an air strip for reasons un known I'm guessing to escape and again 1 zombie and no ONE with guns can take it down We know from all the movies and shows before this shows how humanity will turn on each other. Nickolas Smith: Don’t watch the show if you have motion sickness! That’s my only complaint for the show. It was good, I still didn’t think it got verified for a z nation prequel. I could be wrong. I enjoyed it I’m glad James didn’t try and kill that guy again. I would recommend for others to see it.

What happened to the dude with the crates his leg was fucked up, and he looks at a road or something before we see the zombie going toward him. 2.) What was the point of the zombies in the room at the lodge? It’s like they just were left there for no reason but I kinda get it avoid conflict. Even tho she went to the door 2-3 times. 3.) The guy at the beginning who gets in the cop car, then lance headbutts the window what happened? 4.) The girl in the shop or w.e who said fuck the dude who killed lance what was her purpose? Also the mysterious man that was there in the window with the dog. Im pretty sure some stuff was just to show how shitty the apocalypse is and how humans are turning against eachother, but what about the characters I mentioned. Cop car guy, Crate guy, Guy in window etc maybe it was nothing.

AvocadoGhost: I enjoyed watching this season and thought it was pretty good, but man it gets frustrating realizing that 80% of the problems these guys had could’ve just been avoided if they would JUST STOP KILLING EACH OTHER!!! Like it just feels like half the time they forget that they turn into zombies upon dying and just kill them anyway. And it feels like nobody can communicate anymore with how little dialogue there is, it takes them like 10 years just to tell another person a sentence. But that’s not the worst offender to me the most aggravating thing this season did was making it feel like there were scared to kill the zombies. The prime example of this was the zombie Rose and Anna encounter in front of the house, it was ONE zombie and they acted like they couldn’t shoot the damn thing. Shooting that zombie would’ve saved the trouble for everyone in that house like the guy trying to get into the garage and take the snowmobile out or Freddy not having to be up in a tree all night. And then Rose and Anna did it AGAIN at the airstrip by not shooting zombie Boone, they just run and hide from it. I get not wanting to waste ammo but in certain situations you gotta use it, and the show didn’t say anything about them being low on ammo. Overall I get that the main theme of the show is to not trust anybody, but man I just think if they would just chill out and communicate normally to each other then they wouldn’t be in this shit. That whole house episode was just infuriating to watch mostly because of that annoying ass son tweaking out, but also because no one said anything of importance to anybody everyone just kinda stood there in silence staring at each other not going over any plans on what to do or help each other out. Also why the fuck would the son keep threatening to shoot people knowing that they would turn and couldn’t even take down the girl he shot. They (everyone in the show) all could’ve cleared the whole zombie population out in that town by now and not worry about a thing if they would’ve just stop turning each other into zombies.

Juan Serra de la Fuente: This season was a better walking dead than the walking dead. specially because they do not talk and they only focus in survival. It gets even more realistic after the real world pandemic. the non linear narrative was fine could be better at times but at least they try to do something different. photography and palette color was very good. Character development was really good as it leaves enough ambiguity to the viewer to fill the gaps for themselves. Did not know that was linked to z nation but now makes a lot of sense. this is what the walking dead should have been.

Ted R: Why did the militia group continue to keep Sun alive, was the purpose to keep her as a mule? Why didn't she partake as a militia soldier as the others did. I do not think Rose passed, she played a very strong character in the season. Season 3 of Black Summer will be fantastic!

Max: Feels to me like they have a story they want to tell but they couldn't think of a way to easily connect it with the characters etc of season one. So they created a middle season to kill or get all the characters where they needed to be.
