Dana posted on Twitter that we will be getting a short season containing just 3 special-length episodes; the equivalent of 6 normal episodes. It is confirmed that this will be the last season. This was NOT Dana's choice; she had been hoping for a normal 10-20 episode pickup, and not expecting a cancellation. As The Owl House is one of Disney's most popular currently airing shows, my speculation is that this cancellation was brought on by budget constraints due to COVID-19 and the inability to run the Disney parks. Dana tweeted that if we want to see the show continue, TOH merch, or anything else TOH related, snail mail is the way to go. Disney still reads and responds to snail mail. This is an effective way of contacting them. They don't appear to read DMs and emails, presumably due to 1) the sheer number they receive (like on, say, cable subscriptions or merch). Update: it is too late for an extended season 3 due to production timelines that is already in place, but it is possible for a season 4 and beyond! andrew sutherland: Honestly, I wished they developed Luzs feelings for amity more. Throughout season 1 after they became friends, it just seemed that luz acted like a typical friend who had no self awareness towards how amity really felt while, and in season 2, starting off with that blush when they touched while fighting the robot, it seemed like it just rushed to a complicated relationship where they like eachother but cant admit it. It makes sense, but it just feels rushed and it didn't need to be because it really didn't show luz develop feelings at all, just in one scene, she already had them
