I am Rad Scientist: 45:45 The "problem" with Bertolt and Ymir's story is, the climax of their character development was shown first way before the viewers understand where they're coming from. This leaves the burden to the viewers to watch the past episodes in order for them to experience a more complete and satisfying conclusion regarding those characters. It doesn't help that their stories were told in a very subtle way either. I'm not really saying that Isayama mishandled their characters. Considering the nature of his story limited his options on what he could reveal to the viewers, I think he handled it masterfully. I just thought that the reason why some wouldn't like them as characters is because they weren't invested enough to go back and try to piece the subtle hints Isayama left regarding their characters, in order to see a more complete picture of those characters' stories.

He might win! 2) Warhammer Titan (WT) entrance - aha, here comes the new Titan, the fight no longer goes in Eren's favour! 3) Eren punches and pummels the WT mid-transformation - nah, scratch that, Eren got this! 4) WT impales Eren on a spike-> proceeds to counter-attack him together with Marleans ending with AT loosing both hands and the head - erm, nope, Eren totally not getting this! 5) Mikasa appears and nukes the living hell out of WT, the squads starts the assault on Marleans - ok, now he got support from the scouts - the WT is finished for sure! 6) WT rises back up and chasing Mikasa for a while - but it seems unkillable, Marley still in the game? 7) Eren finds out WT's weak spot and picks up the crystallized Lara Tybur - Eren smart, Eren got this! 8) Jaw Titan enters - nope! Galliard with the last minute save! 9) Levi enters - Ok, talk about saves... The tables have turned at least 9 (nine) times within this single episode. I think the table is no longer on the ground, it is suspended in the air, whirling like crazy.

Ogma Digital: Good call on the conversation between Magath and Willy. Haven't seen many reading between the lines and interpreting the pregnant pauses of that exchange. Love Willy basically calling Magath a traitor, Magath stoically staring him down, and Willy appealing to him... "Don't change on me now, Magath." And the slightly mangled (in my opinon) final lines of the conversation... "There's no doubting that the Eldians are spawn of the devils. And there's doubt that we are the devils ourselves." Yup, that about sums up the Marley/Eldian relationship. Great reaction, thoughtful analysis, thank you.

Melon Lord: In episode 3 Eren say that he's the same as Reiner, Berthold and Annie because of what he's about to do. Actually they're not alike. Reiner, Berthold and Annie break the wall because their goal is to get inside the wall and search for the founding titan so they can steal it and take it back to Marley. Killing civillians never their objective. While Eren on the other hands, came to Marley with the full intent to kill everyone. Be it soldier or civillians, kids, woman, old people doesn't matter to him and to steal the nine titans Marley have.

Vivi: I like that you can see the nuance of this event, and call out Eren becoming what he hated. Some people really just see it black and white and it’s like you’re with Eren or against all the eldians. Like bitch, I don’t want the eldians to die, but Eren just killed children, fuck him.

Did you guys just put a blindfold just because she's a kid and when we get to see her enjoy a piece of "normal" childhood? Is that why you guys became heavily biased? Where Eren & his crew lost their childhood, lose their families, suffer from starvation, lives in fear of titans everyday because of fucking Marley. Ofcouse you dont get to see their "normal" lives. Im kinda disappointed from what your takeaway from this episode actually, surprisingly even the Normies get the right POV of the whole situation.

(52:15) About Eren, if you think deeply about the title "Attack Titan", we all know there is almost no way an Attack Titan would stop, technically the Attack Titan could mean to keep forward forever I should say. Maybe never obey, never obey anyone, if there were some enemies still out there. So I think Armin and Mikasa (probably Sasha & Jean) are quite important, the ones who could "STOP" Eren. アルべースジョシュア: These episodes are just fantastic and perfectly done. The only complain that I have and I'm very worried about is the pacing of the episode. Don't get me wrong what they're putting in one episode is perfect but they confirmed there are just going to be 16 episodes which WILL NOT WORK. The manga hasn't even finished and if they want to animate the ending they have to bring a part 2 to this. But I'm just grateful for witnessing this masterpiece. All hail Pieck :)

MajorSmurf: I said a similar thing on another reaction but I think the titans look so off is because of the colour and so they stand out compared the background. Its one of the problems with CGI that getting lighting and materials to look close to hand-drawn stuff is dam near impossible. I don't think the CGI is the worst as I watched berserk 2016 which oh boy that was awful. CGI does work in anime but it works best in anime that are fully CGI when you go back and forth from hand-drawn to CGI it stands out way too much and draws your eyes to them. Like beastars and land of the lustrous are both beautiful examples of CGI done right. My main problem with this anime season is that I'm hyped about way too many shows that AOT is almost there in the background which just shows how jam-packed this season is.

THE GUARDIAN: Another great episode, man these waits between weeks are killing me lol sad thing is the staff at MAPPA is being harrased by the toxic fandom mostly for the use of CGI, while i agree that they overuse it, one should not attack the people involved, man I'm tired of these type of fandoms

And of course, Eren going full on susume, kind of like in Erwin's spirit, on those Marley Top Brass guys up in the bleachers was amazing but at the same time horrifying now that we've seen Gabi and Falco's side, seeing Zofia & Udo like that. Gabi is understandably just like Eren there. Also Magath kind of being the only truly neutral/realistic thinker is interesting. It just goes to show how in real life people are fighting wars thinking of the others as enemies and justifying their actions, when everyone just wants peace at the end of the day, but keeps going for Revenge. Reminds me of a certain something in Naruto. No Spoilers. I really didn't like the animation in this one, just going back to see Season 2 or 3 just makes you realize how horrible the colors are looking, but it suits the feel of the show in a way. Like Paradis island was a beautiful place to hide away at, why the king might have liked staying there and calling it a paradise; and seeing the horrible skies and barren lands in the rest of the world, due to all the pollution makes sense. It's kind of like making the animation bad suits the theme now, but I would have loved if Wit would have done it. I really liked the thick outlines and the not so perfect and rough edges when things got serious. More than a single tone of shadow. That being said, it is never that bad to have to hate on the creators or animators. People are just doing their jobs, we got the best of what was possible at the moment. This is the corporate world making decisions to cash in on something which is ruining the overall feel of the franchise, like Game of Thrones or Cyberpunk, just being rushed to meet the best possible timeline to cash in on the hype. But no one deserves death threats or stress for doing that. No matter how bad the animation gets, if the story is good, we would love it. Take Naruto for example, love it to death, but man the animation could have been better for a lot of it :D Anyway, you guys are doing great! Pieck does look like Lindsay(Idk how you spell your name) Also, when will Armin join the fight? Can't wait for him to just football kick something; like Bertholdt did to Eren.

Just Some Guy With Bad Directions: I feel one of the reasons the war hammer got decimated by Mikasa was the lack of Military experience and dealing with the enemy and the way they move first hand, if you'd pin up someone like Reiner vs Mikasa sure he'd get his ass handed to him on a silver plate but I think he would of held his own way better.
