I don't have any evidence or leads but I just have a feeling. They need to do at least one more episode to end the season in a way that makes decent sense. @SeoulMan: There's another subtlety to both 001s. The Old Man's name, Il-Nam, can mean "first/number one man." In-ho, the Frontman, used the false name, Young-il, which can mean "zero one." The ex-marine, Dae-ho even noticed the "coincidence" in his name, but it went straight over everyone's head.

@AESTHETICCosmopolitan: The cliffhanger from the first season was promising, but I feel that it would have been difficult for them to live up to the hype of the first season after three years. Either way, the season felt lackluster even if I'm playing devil's advocate. While they didn't completely butcher the franchise as we're used to the second seasons or sequels of our favourite TV series and movies lately, it was a pretty bad. The pacing at times seemed to be either too slow, or paradoxically rushed at the same time. The search for the island arc was also extremely lacking. Many of the new characters were not properly introduced or developed at all. Overall, this season felt both rushed but also slow at the same time. It's like the writers didn't know what to do with it. Hopefully, they make up for this mess with the third season, but I'm not holding my breath.

In S2 we got a deeper look into the pink guards through the lenses of a triangle pink guard/pink soldiers. I think that in S3 we might see what it's like to be a square pink guard (pure speculation)

@keto8354: For all we know, 011 is heading towards the direction of creating an entry point for the policeman and mercenary crew if they were to survive the storm and the crooked captain. The policeman and mercenaries tried to enter from above, but 011 and 246 will end up probably escaping through the organ harvesters' path or route in the sea. 246 is alive and has a bright future or plot for the next season. Either or both 011 and policeman through a disguise will stay in the game as a way of infiltrating and saving 456.

The salesman says:"In this moment there is alot going trough your head right ?" I kinda have the feeling player 456 actually died at this moment and the story thats unfolds afterwards is his imagination. Can anyone relate ?

Also idk if it was planned but season one really setup season two well and having season one in your head you could really feel with Seuong and what he already had experienced. I binge watched the whole season two because I really wanted Seoung to make the games stop. But also I feel season two showed you didn't become happier after you win the money but more the opposite. He trying to convince all the other players it is blood money and all that. Looking forward to season three now!

There is a lot of deeper meaning in this series that goes over most viewers heads. 9/11 and the twin towers ( like a giant number 11) a national emergency( 911) on September 11( 9/ 11) and much more that those with critical thinking skills have been aware of for years. @civivva4501: i need to see a flashback to how the games started and a game set in the 80s/90s. If they do International Squid Game I would like it to be set in South America. And possibly a mixed international game which would have people with debt that is comparibly small to show the difference between an Indian person owing money and an American owing money. They still are in debt that is crippling their lives but a debt of 10K vs 100 million.
