Lisa J: Invincible- yeah okay. It’s not bad. But I guarantee they will do what every show does now. Have such a ridiculous, extensive, seemingly endless break between seasons that a portion will totally forget it even exists and then if they do remember,will have forgotten much of the plot or just it’s lost it’s impact as they have totally disengaged and will not care - because even if you like the show, most people aren’t super fans of any show. Personally I didn’t think it was at all special enough to warrant the tedious wait that will now ensue. And even with access media doing all they can to insist we have to keep caring no matter how many months:years pass, it’s just another super hero story. So the endless break trick won’t work. Aside from that - why do YouTube people all talk like this. Just talk like a normal person. And that review was as tedious as the gigantic wait time that they plan to follow season 8. Lots of adjectives. Like a little kids book report. I don’t ever want a plot summary (on my stupid people give or listen to plot summary reviews) so it’s not the lack of “spoilers” it’s the intense bizarre energy and “up talk” without actually analyzing anything or giving any insight. Just overly enthused me like. It fun. Blah blah.

Jik Ril: There seems to be a lot of competition between The Boys fans and Invincible fans but I think both shows are great. They tackle similar issues in different manners. For The Boys I think the focus is more about the day to day petty violence and arrogance of people with superhuman abilities raised like celebrities whereas Invincible is more about the wide scale consequences of people with that kind of power and no moral compass. There's no exact divide but you can kind of get different vibes from both. I also think the difference between bad guys like Homelander and Omniman is that you hate Omniman as he represents genocide and the large scale evils of the world, Homelander is similar but he's closer to the type of people you could imagine meeting even in day-to-day life, an arrogant spoiled asshole.

I'm the type that's really over the whole comic book movies and shows after endgame but the fact that it's from the people who created The Walking Dead and it does feature Walking Dead actors portraying certain characters in this show and also pretty interesting. Episode 8 was definitely a shocker for me when it comes to the violence
