americandesign: I have rewatched the whole Mandalorian s02 from e01- to 04 in one go . And I tell you guys, there are no filler episodes if you consider the whole 4 parts we've seen (so far) as one feature film. It has the "waving" right, so one episode is giving us hints and slower pace, but building to the "explosion" of the next chapter. I feels like a whole movie. A moovie that we've all awaited for a long time. A moovie that's whole better than the sequels together! (RIP Reylo-Nobody-Palpatine-Skywalker!) I strongly suggest to do the same! - Find some time 4 it! (C'mon you too have the chapters dowloaded already on your winchester, dont you?) - And BTW the music is AMAZING, Thanx to Göran Ludvigsson for the whole stuff! So try it... I have spoken. Dark Kommissar: I hope The Mandalorian steers clear of the Disney sequels. The Lucas prequels added to Lucas’ originals. Were they well executed? No, however, they fleshed out the originals. The sequels detract from all the movies that came before. They ruin Anakin’s redemption by bringing back Palpatine, which was the result of poor planning. You can’t fix poor planning. Disney should just admit their error and stop doubling down before they ruin The Mandalorian.

Plus the fact that this takes place after the original trilogy makes this a prequel to the Sequel trilogy, so I expect this show to do some of what Clone Wars did for the Prequel trilogy.

Robert Pettit: As a fan of both the OT and TCW, I think the Mandalorian is starting to hit that balance between original storytelling and fan service. Saying that, I do concede that one of the major flaws of Season 2 seems to be trying to make the two flow in to each other naturally. They did a pretty decent job with Ep. 1, however it would have been nice for some of the stuff from Ep. 3 to carry more in to 4.

J: There were several references to Star Wars here: the droid teacher was discussing the Maelstrom and Kessel (i.e. Solo geographic territory!) and there was some Stormtrooper dialogue as well as general base plot points that are referencing A New Hope, when Obi Wan was walking around the Death Star unbeknownst to everyone other than Darth Vader.

J: Can they stay together though? The Child is already 50 years old and seemingly cannot talk. Yoda lived 900 years. Something tells me Mando will only be alive an average human lifespan...maybe less since he's always in harm's way.

J: Both my partner and I commented afterwards that something was "missing" with this episode. It felt shorter. Was this one of the episodes that Pedro Pascal was not really/fully in? Mandlorian did disappear for a bit, and certainly there was a focus on the supporting characters in this episode. Oddly, the third episode of season 2 had a shorter run-time but neither of us felt that while or after watching.

If you actually look at what she has posted, it's unbelievably mild when compared with other Hollywood personalities and not at all offensive. People saying and implying she has been bad are fooling themselves and each other and folks who don't actually check it out are easily led to believe it's true.

R Bowser: I too noticed and appreciated the numerous nods in this episode back to the original trilogy. I believe the first three episodes are what caused the initial lackluster response to this episode and feel many are still on the fence with the series with the all over the place storyline. Like you expressed it really shows that there are a lot of competing interests trying to pull the series in different directions. Though, I understand the reasons I thought it was particularly lame to show Mando eating in the ship and still having to fight his helmet. Come on are we supposed to believe he is in the mask 24/7? Sorry, it is little things like that are just not sitting well with me but of course will keep watching nevertheless.
