niteangel 496: The little girl we saw is Kyo & Tohru's grandchild. The man talking to the little girl is Hajime, he is Kyo & Tohru's eldest son/child; they had 3 kids (2 boys & 1 girl). The picture of Tohru's parents is next to the family picture with Kyo, Tohru and their kids. The Ritsu x Misturu pairing was hinted at in Ritsu's introduction episode and in episode 2 of Season 3 (Shigure casually mentioning the financial/social gap between Ritsu & Mitsuru right before the reveal of Shigure cheating on Akito with Ren as revenge for her sleeping with/choosing Kureno)

Roxan _: Id suggest looking up and reading Another. It features a lot of the kids of the various couples (though not all of them) and is rather short. Only 14 chapters. The FB characters aren't in it really outside of the occasional adult who was a kid in the OG series. The Father at the end is Kyo and Toruh's son. The woman is his wife. As far as I know its not confirmed but its likely their eldest child. He's one of the leads of Another so youd get to see him there. Id love to see a manga reaction to Another.

Taylor White: They did have a son! In that ending scene it’s inferred that it’s their son, the son’s wife, and their daughter (Kyo & Tohru’s granddaughter). You can see in the photos their other 2 kids (they have 3 total, 2 boys and a girl). That photo of the boy in the school uniform IS their son!!!! Their eldest son, Hajime, goes to the same high school as them so that’s why he’s in the same uniform! Also, if you wanted to know about Momiji, spoilers below *** . . . . . . . . . . We don’t see Momiji in the sequel series, BUT we see his young daughter, Mina, and learn he’s married, and took over his fathers company. (The author also stated on Twitter that Momiji has more than 1 child)

mezacharia: Wow... I'm surprised no one else has fully said this. This episode pretty much matches the manga, even with the huge time skip. We don't actually get to see the specifics of what happens to everyone else (awwww). There is a sequel manga "Fruits Basket Another" that has the next generation of Somas (basically the kids of the Zodiacs and affiliated like Hanajima & Kakeru), but they're all in high school (because, you know, life only happens in high school). So we kind of can piece together some of what happens to the Zodiacs by what their kids are saying, but don't actually see them in this sequel. It implies that the kids are aware of the Zodiac curse. That's about all I'll say, since I may be crossing into spoiler territory. 😛

NAMINE0306: In the sequel manga we get clues on how things went in the future but the main characters of fruits basket dont apear and aren’t even refered to by name (which i find sad 😭). They are just “hajime’s mom and dad” “mutsuki’s mom dad and uncle” “shiki’s parents” etc. so reading it didnt fill the void left by the main series. The best we get is an “extra” chapter in one of the volumes where hajime recounts how his parents told him about the curse and why he wears his fathers beads. And a bit of how what akito did afects how the family views her son.

Ruthann Goodfield: About the granddaughter, the man that you thought was Keio was the little girls father. And is the son of Kyo and Tohru. Why did we get a Yuchi kiss but not a kyoru kiss? Did you all notice that since the curse is broken Yuki style has changed. He dresses in a lot more relaxed clothing. And I am living for it. I love his relationship with Machi. I also love how the girls basically crashed kyo and tohru’s date.

Night Music: Fruits Basket another is the sequel and it stars all of their children. In the flashback the man is their son. They later have another son and a little girl as well. The only one we know the name of is Hajime which is the oldest son. He was named after Kyo's love of Martial Arts. Hajime means to begin..which is a perfect name for many reasons. He was born at the beginning of Kyo and Tohru's life together.

And to answer your question, there a shorter spin-off manga called Fruits Basket: Another which depicts a part of the highschool lives of Kyo's and Tohru's kid as well as Yuki's and Machi's kid with other Sohma kids! It's pretty cute and I wouldn't be surprised if they made a ova series for it!

Red: oh this is definitely a story you want to rewatch, the details you missed the first time will make it very interesting. Im sure many have said, but Fruits Basket Another is the "secuel" kind of, its a short story from the point of view of their sons and daughters, also there is the three musketeers extra that takes place before Kyo and Tohru leave.

laceyjo13: I dont want to give you too much detail in case they ever make Fruits Basket Another, but the man at the end is Tohru and Kyo's son, with the little girl's mom being his wife. Tohru and Kyo have 3 kids. You find out what's going on with all the members' kids in FB Another, but the OG cast is very rarely shown, usually more talked about. As an original manga reader, I wasn't expecting them to show so much of his face, since it was vague there. but since she's written Another since then, readers of the sequel knew exactly who he was and what he's like, and it made the ending extra special.

KoiPuff: So in the picture frame at the end you can see Tohru, Kyo, and three children (2 boys and a girl). The man at the end is probably Hajime, their eldest son. There is a sequel manga that's a short small look into all of the Sohma children in HS including but not limited to: Tohru/Kyos son, Yuki's son, Haru/Rins twins and Akito's son. It's a quick read and I'd recommend it.

Delia Fischer: As for Momiji’s future . . . . . . . . Momiji got to have a relationship with his sister in the end. Not much is known about Momiji unfortunately, but he does eventually have a daughter named Mina. We can assume he got the family he always wanted.
