149Ji: 3 things why this episode is my fav of this season. 1. The motto for Inarizaki is so cool. Not perfect, but the drive to move & look forward I can respect. 2. Hinata's receive. I love the explanation - that one play you work hard for and ypu manage to pull it off. The amount of build-up for that pay-off moment was SO worth. And Hinata being straighforward firing his teammates up - awesome. 3. The animation. The fact that they got it so right for this episode is part of why it is so damn impactful. Still would've loved it if it had been a bit off but I am so glad it looks as epic as it does.

I've read the manga, i know that art work and plot is acceptable, but my main problem is that people who made it were slacking of compared to the previous ones

Project Omnia: So happy about your long intro and had to pause it before you got into your reaction. Mostly to say this, animation this season has still been on point. I know you didn't make this distinction because you don't wanna drone on too long. However the majority of complaints about the "animation" this season are actually complaints about art. The art of this season has been more simple than previous seasons where shading and such was used to really add a level of depth and detail to the art comparatively. The animation itself has been pretty consistent and fluid AF. This far into the second half of the fourth season and I can think of only two moments since its return where there was lazy/weird/bad animation. Episode 19 shortly after Suga is put into the game there is a shot of him walking away from the net with Inarizaki staring him down that is oddly animated. Then there is a shot of the Inarizaki cheer section (somewhere between 20-22) which is weakly drawn and the only animation is some clunky animation of the cheerleaders pom pom movements, otherwise it is completely still with only camera movement. Now to get into your awesome reaction, always love your reactions man especially to Haikyuu!!!! Am sure this will be another amazing reaction as always and sorry for the overly long comment but I just had to add my two cents to what you had said in your intro. Karasuno fight!!1 Lets enjoy some Volleyball!!!!!!

Hinata was in the zone there, and you passed it instead to Asahi and then Tanaka!!! When a homie does something epic, you let him finish that epicenes, you don't send the ball somewhere else.

Travis Murphy: Personally I feel like the main reason that people dont like this season is because it just doesnt have that tension that other seasons had, the directing just felt off for some reason, this is the second best team in japan they are playing and it feels like a practice match tbh, with that aside AS SOON AS I SAW THIS EPISODE, I FELT LIKE I WAS WATCHING HYPEKYUU AGAIN, this is basically what we expected for the whole season, the previous seasons had random backstories on other chracters and we still enjoyed them, but in this season they felt out of place, like they were necessary backstories but the timing and placement of them felt off to me personally. The animation, although im not a fan, is really not bad, in fact the art style is just different but for most episodes, except for that one that was out sourced, the animation has been pretty good tbh. Haikyuu thrives of emotions and the hype of the matches, the emotions just werent there for a few episodes this season which made it feel "off". Still i wouldnt say its bad cause this is still my favourite sports anime and thats never gonna change but even as a fan i dont think you can objectively look at this season and say it was as good as the other seasons.
