Mediator Of Souls: This is.... utterly disappointing tbh. As a manga reader and a fan of the anime, this is a black mark or rather a stain on what could have been something truly great. At the very least I'm glad I decided to read the manga after watching the 1st season as it seems that my decision paid off in the end. Had I known this was going to happen I wouldn't have bothered watching this Season's first episode... I feel bad for the anime only's for having to deal with the whims of the production staff and their constant meddling in the plot. I'm going to suggest that Anime only's who want to continue that you no longer look at this show as 'The Promised Neverland' it's not we have another case of ROOT A and it's WORSE. I promise you that whatever 'ending' this season was to have has already been ruined from this episode alone. This is not The Promised Neverland but a fragment of its shadow. I have not watched this episode as I lost interest on Ep 4. The content they used in episodes 4 and 5 is a mash of content from Volumes 12,13 and 14. To put this in perspective I predicted the proper Season 2 adaptation should have adapted the remainder of Volume 5 and Volume 6 (The Promised Forest Arc). Then Volumes 7 through 9 (Search for Minerva Arc) and Volumes 9 through 11 ( Goldy Pond Battle Arc). This Final Arc being the most important and impactful way to end Season 2. However Season 2's episodes 4 and 5 have adapted material from the arcs following after Goldy Pond.... Potential material! The Cuvitidala Arc (Volumes 11-13), The Kings of Paradise Arc (Volumes 13-15) and presumably further in later episodes. There has been a lot skipped over in just two episodes e.g Search for Minerva (What episodes S2 3 and 4 should have been) Goldy Pond, Cuvitidala, and The Kings Of Paradise (The original 'Shelter Attack' that shouldn't have appeared in S2 Ep 4). Upon reviewing 'The Search for Minerva Arc' starts with chapter 53 so they haven't adapted that properly either, the only ones Cloverworks adapted correctly are the 'Introduction Arc' and the 'Jailbreak Arc' (Volumes 1 through 5) and 'The Promised Forest' (Volumes 5- 6) There are 20 volumes in total, 6 have been adapted correctly, 8 have been forsaken and original context has been lost (72 chapters) with the remaining 6's material to be ruined in the later days to come....

Random otaku: i laughed so much when i saw norman with the same baby face he had in season one, he was supposed to be cool and tall, but he's still just baby norman, who's powerful now, i feel like this could've been so much better if they made the series 3 seasons instead of 2, many people are disappointed about them removing the goldy pond arc (including me), i feel like season 2 could've been focused on the arc and they could have a third season, starting with the destruction of the shelter, and then moving onto the norman and demon arc.

BagelPrince: im so upset this is NOT how you write a story they really butchered the hope i had for season two. when it wasnt sticking to the story in the first two episodes i had the sneaking suspicion it was gonna be going off plot. im really disheartened. and from the perspective of someone who knows the manga well, this series doesnt make any sense and especially will not make sense to someone only knowing the anime. ugh

Edward Blake: SeaTactics this adaptation does the manga zero justice. You should read it and do comparison reviews after the anime is over. While the manga dips in quality towards the end, it's still leagues ahead of the anime in every single aspect. Including the Norman reveal which was built up much better and happens much later on. Also there were very important characters from the manga that are just flat out missing. The inclusion of said characters improves the shelter arc drastically and plays a huge role in facilitating the Goldy Pond arc. Even though I was willing to give it a fair shake, I'm thuroughly convinced at this point this adaptation is trash.

Reading the manga I kept thinking "Okay the anime would be about 4-5 seasons maybe with the end of season 2 being the goldy pond arc and Normans reveal would be a big surprise with his appearance and be the end of another season

Ricky - KFP punching bag: Remember yugo? Apparently the creators didn't because he wasn't there when he should have been even though the writing on the walls in the bunker was. Also what are they gonna do about all the characters that were supposed get introduced during goldy pond, are they just gonna delete them from the story? What about the demon Emma fights in goldy pond? Are they just gonna pretend he was always there in the story when he shows back up again later, or is he also deleted? I'm seriously questioning the thought process of whoever it was that decided to have the anime go like this. Now things be either missing from the story or they will show up having not appeared previously having a weak impact. Doesn't help the end of the manga was mediocre, if the anime is changing things to improve the ending its not worth it since I'd rather have a mediocre ending than have the source material be butchered like this.

Liana Dreemurr: Even though I agree with most of the things you said in the video, as a manga reader, I still somewhat have hope for this show. I mean, there’re some points that makes you angry actually “can” be answered in the next episode (or the episode after it), because some of them have already been hinted in this episode. But yes I do feel disappointed too, not just because they skipped the whole arc that my favorite character would appear, they actually rush the whole things and ruin all my feelings when I first saw Norman’s death in season 1. But I still want to have hope that maybe, just maybe this wouldn’t end up turning into an actual disaster and most forgettable thing of this fandom.
